Let me say that I was diagnosed with dry eyes prior to the procedure, which definitely became worse afterwards. These drops, as advertised, have a cooling sensation. This is somewhat intense at first, but after a couple seconds it becomes a refreshing arctic blast. It’s actually quite nice, and very soothing for itchy, dry eyes. As for the redness factor, my eyes don’t usually get red, but I would assume these drops would do the trick in remedying that as well. Before bed, I’ve been using eye gel so my eyes don’t dry out overnight. The first night I used these, I fell asleep without putting in the gel. The next morning I had no issues whatsoever. My eyes weren’t dry, itchy, red or crusty. For the price point, I don’t think you’ll beat these drops. I have recommended them to a friend who had the same procedure. I’ll also tell my mother, as she suffers with dry eyes as well. I actually prefer these drops to the $25 ones I’ve been using. My only complaint is with the bottle, in that it is a bit tricky to open. But I doubt I’ll ever have an issue with leakage. However, the bottle is compact and would fit easily in your pocket or a small purse.

Rohto Max Strength Redness Reliever works incredibly well, but I’ll be honest the first drop does burn. It’s a strong cooling/tingling sensation that lasts maybe 5–10 seconds. After that, it settles and actually feels refreshing, but the initial sting is definitely something to know about if you’ve never used Rohto before. Once it kicks in, the redness clears up fast. My eyes look brighter within a minute, and the effect lasts for hours without drying my eyes out. I only use it when my eyes look irritated or tired, and it always makes a noticeable difference. If you can get past that quick burn, this stuff works better than any other redness drops I’ve tried.

So, I never heard of this brand before. I have been using Lumify for a long time, and I thought it was the best product on the market for getting rid of eye redness. It works great, but that's all it does. I just tried this Rohto Max Strength product, and it will be my new go-to eyedrop. It works just as well as Lumify at instantly removing redness and making my eyes bright white. But it also has this amazing cooling sensation and it also addresses my dry eye issues. My eyes are now white, bright, and soothed. I'm amazed, because this product costs so much less than Lumify. Unless some weird side effects are discovered with this product, I think its popularity is going to explode. It doesn't just treat the cosmetic effect of red eye, it actually addresses dry eye too. By the way, the cooling effect is amazing. It's like your eyes get a blast of arctic wind for a second, and then everything is crystal clear and your eyes look like someone went in and did some photo editing to remove every spec of redness. Needless to say, I absolutely would recommend this product. It works amazingly well and is a much better value than its closest competitor.

It is soothing and relieves the eyes from irritation. It is effective and easy to use. If you want something that simply moisturizes, go with a standard lubricant. But if you want your eyes to feel icy, energized, and look crystal clear, Rohto Max Strength is the gold standard. Just be ready for that signature zing!

I'm of the "male" variety - if the title was not clear. I've got the blessing of long eyelashes and both parents with dry eyes. To go with this: I was "diagnosed" with blepharitis at an Optometrist when I was thirteen (read: people have asked "Are you HIGH?!" at my red eyelids my whole life). I have always felt "dry-ish" eyes. Please note I stay hydrated. At 32 years old, I am beginning to concede that a lifestyle of 25+ years of looking at screens (video games, working laptop) and aging has meant that the dryness is getting worse. I noticed as well that I was struggling to produce tears. I bought these drops looking for some relief as I had some additional symptoms of "tightness" around my eye. I hate putting in drops but I put on my big boy pants and put two in each eye.. and I was a bit surprised at how much of the "Cooling Relief" I felt from these. I believe that the term "Lubricant Eye Drops" nails it - my eyes feel/felt great when using the drops.. and it lasts a decent amount of time as well. I notice my eyelids feel like function adequately most of the day, perhaps I am lucky here. From my perspective, highly recommend. I'm not sure if this is placebo (perhaps also TMI) but I believe the drops "flushed" a lot of gunk from my eyelids. Especially on the first application when the symptoms were at their worse. I had to rinse my eyelids a bit after application.
