Used them in the hood scoop mounted turn indicators on a 69 Mach I. Fit right in place of the old incandescent bulbs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 70 lumen non-polar LEDs work very well in a vintage vehicle. *by D***T on January 22, 2024* I installed these LEDs as direct replacements for the GE57 incandescent bulbs used for the instrument gauge lights in my 1958 Chevy truck and they are perfect. Some older reviews say they wouldn't work because the polarity may not be correct (and rotating the bulb cant fix that). The Yoper BA9S LEDs I purchased said in the description that they are non-polarized, meaning that they are not polarity dependent and indeed they worked fine with no issues. I wanted to keep the original gauge light color and intensity and was concerned that they didn't offer bulbs in a warmer color range to match an incandescent bulb (3500-4000) but the 70 lumen white light color (6000 range) of these LEDs turned out perfect. The light intensity is definitely better so I can actually see the gauges at night, yet they still maintain their nostalgic green tint due to the paint used in the gauge assembly. IMO, they are not too bright but be advised that their brightness cannot be turned down. I suspect that is because the old Chevy light switch is not capable of adjusting the resistance in the range needed for the LEDs to respond. I found other similar bulbs that were 100 lumens but am glad I went with the 70 lumen ones.
