Perspective Made Easy (Dover Art Instruction) Review: Simple but helpful introduction to perspective! - Seems easily digestible so far! I really like the author’s approach to explaining, it really feels like I’m his student. I think this book is geared towards beginners which I totally am a noob when it comes to perspective drawing. I thought I’d post pages from different chapters to show you how it progresses. It’s more inviting than other perspective books I have that’s for sure lol. I think it’s a great friendly start as I don’t feel overwhelmed by each page turn like I do other books. If you’re already very familiar with perspective and want something more advanced maybe don’t pick this up. Scott robertson’s how to draw book might serve you better in that case. Review: fantastic book for any new artist looking to learn perspective - This book is a must have for any artist. It breaks down perspective into an easy to follow course. it is a bit old fashioned but can easily translate to the modern world. its a short read and has plenty of diagrams to follow. I highly recommend this book to any artist looking to master perspective, it has helped my art improve massively.

He covers it all, easy to navigate
“So, I’m an artist I don’t need geometry” Yes You Do! When you get to the point that you want to paint landscapes properly, incorporate buildings or figures into your work, or draw an interior, you will find this little book indispensable. You can go right to the topic you are struggling with and get results . The author even provides exercises to practice so you understand. I’m so glad I purchased it! You will be too.

Good book for learning perspectives.
It's an good reference book for making perspectives, but I felt like some perspectives were lacking which is why its not 5 stars. Either way it is a nice small book that you can easily take on the go for learning perspectives.

The Only Perspective Book You Will Ever Need!
Like many budding artists I have struggled with perspective over the years, and had settled into the belief that "I've pretty much got it". But when I began doing some urban sketching recently, I realized I didn't have it. So, I started looking around for books and videos on the subject. In looking at reviews of various books on Amazon I saw this book mentioned a couple times as the only book you'll ever need on perspective. I checked it out, ordered it and ended up getting the kindle version as well. It's definitely all I'll ever need regarding perspective. It was written in a simpler time back in 1939, and its examples and illustrations are dated but still perfect from the standpoint of demonstration and an excellent balance between his text and his example drawings and illustrations. After viewing instructional videos and other books on the subject, I was actually amazed at how Mr. Norlong was able to write so succinctly and say so much in such a small book. He covers the basics as well as the more "complicated" concepts related to circles and ellipses. And all his examples are real examples, not things that you'll likely never draw. The book could actually be used in a course room, not only because it is so readable and easily understandable, but because he gives you simple assignments at the end of each chapter to ensure you practice what you were just taught, thus making it much easier to remember the information. Don't hesitate in buying this book. It will surely become one of your favorite books in your art reference library.

Good but not great.
Book is great! But it arrived with a scratched and dirty book cover.
