It's a PLASTIC CUP! *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2022* These are great cups.It holds water or other liquids when held vertically with OPEN END UP!It does not hold ANY liquid when turned CLOSED END UP!At best that makes it 50% effective at HOLDING water and 50% effective at EMPTYING water.BEWARE!!: When filled with liquids other than water there may be unexpected or varying results when such liquid is INGESTED. Of particular interest was the results of pouring a cold, clear liquid (labeled in this instance as: "VODKA...80 PROOF") and filling the cup to the brim. Once filled, the cup was held up to the slightly parted lips of a willing subject, and the cup was then slowly TILTED so that the OPEN END was brought into closer proximity to the subject's mouth and nose while the proximal edge of the open end was continuously suspended and supported by the lower lip of the subject. At this point, rotational forces were exerted upon the "CUP" so that the attitude of the cup (and particularly the OPEN end) were transposed through a gradual rotation along a vertical plane perpendicular to the frontal plane of the subject. Once 90 degrees of rotation was effected, CHANGES to the level and nature of the "cold clear liquid" were manifestly evident. The cup NO LONGER contained ANY LIQUID.The observational staff were amazed to find that the entire volume of liquid had, for all intents and purposes, DISAPPEARED.The research team was so completely mystified that it was considered URGENT to repeat the experiment over and over (and over and over).After the fourth such trial, the initial subject underwent unexplained mood changes and became convinced that he had the ability to loudly sing Broadway show tunes in exact duplication of the voices of Ethyl Merman and Liza Minnelli.By the eighth to tenth trials, song lyrics became increasingly slurred and unintelligible.
