Quality and convenience
I have for several years been using a lower-cost competitor to this product; each would last about a year before the heater expired. I decided to move up in the world, and I feel I've made a good choice. The Chinya frother has a durable feel of quality materials. The sizes of the lid and the stirrer stowage are perfectly engineered for a snug fit. The body has an internal coating of what so far has been a very durable and easy-to-clean non-stick (Teflon?) surface. There is usually a bit of residual dairy matter stuck to the bottom after each use (as I've seen with every heater I've ever had) but it comes off readily. It has an easy-on-easy-off power base. I think the designers have done just about everything they can to make this effortless and convenient to use. The only very minor quirk is that the mechanical stirrer post inside the can is a bit more in the way for cleaning that one finds in magnetic drive frothers, and its off-center location seems to be aggravatingly in just the wrong place for the size of the head on my kitchen brush. But this is a very minor distraction. The quantity of the foam varies widely depending on the milk used. Note that this has nothing to do with the device and in fact has little to do with the fat content of your milk: it is more whether the milk's proteins are amenable to forming bubbles, and whether the milk's glyceride contents aren't low enough to allow bubbles to persist. These factors can vary from carton to carton of milk, particularly with seasonal changes, even for the same fat content and same milk supply chain. Milk fat might make the foam stiffer. So if your first latté with the Chinya frother has more or less foam than you're used it, it likely owes more to the luck of the draw of the milk you are using than the frother. All in all I am five-star pleased with this product. The final verdict will come if it's still giving me happy cappucinni after a couple of years of use.

Great Product.
Great well made product. Does an excellent quiet job of making creamy barista style froth for 2 or 3 mugs of cappuccino. Looks classy too. 150 ml of cold milk makes more froth than you’d expect in 2 mins. Whole milk gives better results than semi skimmed. It makes a good latte too. Simple to operate. Instructions are clear too. It switches itself off when the froth is ready. Then red light flashes for 30 seconds to indicate it’s done the job. Simple to clean. Looks like a product that will last. I certainly hope so.

Great machine with just one flaw
Really like this milk frother and it will take more milk than most other on the market so that you can get a decent size latte, hot chocolate etc. It heats the milk to just the right temperature each time and the frothing feature works well. Even when heating milk instead of using the frothing attachment you still get a small amount of froth on top which is nice. Only downside is that you get some burnt on milk on the bottom that needs cleaned off each time and it doesn't come off that easy. It can't be the milk burning as it doesn't get hot enough to burn, but several other people say the same (not just with this milk frother either)

Froth so thick you can eat it
I brought this product based on the reviews I read and although it was a bit pricey (there was no promotion at the time) thought I'd take a chance on it, my purchase had got lost somewhere in the system, in fairness Amazon were really good and told me if it hadn't arrived the day after delivery was due, contact them and they would issue a refund. After a couple of days I received my refund and reordered (now at the promotional price of £8 saving). Upon 1st use I needed a spatula to get the milk out and we only use skimmed milk, not realising that we were using the wrong attachment(whisk not paddle). 2nd time using the paddle attachment was much better as it creates a small amount of foam that puts our of the frother. This really is a great machine that at a touch of a button will heart and froth the milk and then shut off after about 3 minutes, cleaning is easy as you just rinse out and then wash the inside with a soapy cloth, I love it.

Should have bought one years ago.
Missing my shop bought coffee, I've been looking at capsule coffee makers but as I like milky coffees, I was looking for one with milk frothers and they are so expensive. A friend suggested buying a dedicated milk frother so I looked around and opted for the Chinya model. The device is compact, easy to use, relatively quiet and quick. It makes a wonderful late, flat white etc... in fact I think I'll be enjoying a at-home coffee more often from now on - why go out when you can make a lovely 'cuppa' at home. Its easy to use (don't over fill though at it will make an amount of froth when the coiled stirer is used).. A superb device - well worth the money... invest and you'll not be disappointed. I don't think I'll bother with a capsule coffee maker now as I've all I need to make coffee that bit more special with this device.

Really thick froth; very fast; clean up not bad. You will take cappuccino to next level every time.
Frothing - Excellent. Fill correctly and press a button. Consistent every time; any whole milk . If you like rich foam you will love this. The spring wire frother produces froth like a merengue with a quarter cup of hot milk or less. Heating - nearly microwave speed. It seems as fast as the microwave - maybe slightly slower but with much better results since the milk is evenly heated to the optimal temperature. Again - pay attention to the fill lines. It may seem like it is not much milk, but I challenge you to try using these portions in your coffee drinks; I think you might reach a new level in quality (I understand this is subjective). Much faster if you are heating milk in a microwave and then using a powered hand frother. Clean up - pretty easy. Best advice I can give is to clean it immediately. A free dish brush inside. The non-stick surface makes it easy to clean (even if you wait for later). DO NOT SUBMERGE THE POT.
