Is this mic compatible with dragon professional individual 15 and does anyone not like this mic?

I have this Mic and it works with the Medical Version and it works perfectly fine. I believe the profesional version is cheaper than the medical version i don't think you would have any issues with it.

My work uses pc and dragon medical which works reasonably well. i emulate a terminal from home with my macbook air. will this work with my computer?

Only if you use Windows 10. Old Mac have Boot Camp to use it. New Macs need PARALLELS software.

What software do I need? Clearly not plug and play.

it is plug and play. its just a mic and a speaker. you might want to check your chipset or board drivers. i have used them with win7 and win10 without any issues.
