Worked perfectly for what I needed it for.
I used this for the area that my copper pipes came through the floor near my washer. There was also a draft coming in from there. No longer os there a draft, or ants coming in as I have a dirt basement being in an older home in northeast pa, this is ant season here in the spring. They will still find a way up I'm sure. It just won't be there lol. Great product. Easy to clean when still wet. So if you make a mess or put it somewhere you didn't want it, simply wipe it up quick and it will all come up easily.

Great product
Caulking in kitchen it doesn't expand like regular foam due to fire prevention properties but works great seals areas that u would like to fire stop keeps a 2 hr barrier as per building code if applied rite

It's pretty difficult to apply this foam
My gripe about this is that it is very difficult to apply the foam well. The foam expands to a large degree after being sprayed, to the point that it is often times unpredictable. You need to spray a certain minimum amount from the bottle because of the projectile force, and this minimal amount is oftentimes too much for most applications. The foam will also gunk up the tube and the tube is difficult to clean, meaning you have to do a lot of work if you will not use the entire can in one go.

The best way to fire block
The prior owner built an unpermitted addition. The inspector said all the electrical and plumbing pass throughs the headers had to be sealed with fire block foam. Once the drywall was cut away, this made the project quick and easy. Inspector signed off on it with no issue.

WEAR NITRILE GLOVES !
One huge omission from the Directions for use on the can - WEAR GLOVES!!!. The foam contains a black stain that will take many days to remove from your skin.
