Oil Analysis Premier Kit by Under My Hood with return postage included

This is a great product. I encourage everyone to try. Especially if you have had issues and a mechanic has had to work on the internals. I had a new pick up. Shortly after getting it bent rod and some other things. I waited for two oil changes just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I took an oil sample sent off and it came back with very high levels of copper and lead. This being a 6.2 Chevrolet Silverado they are having major issues. Chevrolet would not help me because the motor has not died. So I traded it off. We drive long trips in that pick up. If it was to shut down at -30 -40°, that would be super dangerous to me and my family. Not worth the risk. Check your Oil people. Not only to know when things are going wrong. It’s the safety of yourself and others on the road.

This oil sample kit comes with everything you need and they give you a little packet to put it in and mail it out to Colorado to a lab.. when you do get your results via email they are labeled and analyzed correctly and are very easy to read.. I changed to this one because I was buying the wix oil samples but they didn't have return postage or nothing and the analyzation of the sample when it came to your email wasn't as good as this one

This service does not even give you the TBN, the most basic and necessary information when using a bypass oil filter. So if you're doing extended drains to avoid draining perfectly good oil, this is a complete waste of money. If I had saved some oil I would have sent another sample to a reputable company that does the TBN. So not only did I waste $30, I don't have proof that the oil was still good when I changed it, for warranty purposes. I drained it as it was the original oil and I have a brand I use for all my equipment. If I flushed my $30 down the toilet instead of on this kit I would have saved myself a trip to the post office. Of course I, as well as anyone else who wants a real oil sample report, would not recommend this product. I really feel like I was scammed, ripped off.

I bought 2 of these kits. One to test the hydraulic oil in my mini excavator and the other to test the additive pack in NEW hydraulic oil. The results came back in about a week, super fast! I was able to show that the OEM hydraulic oil was adequate with minimal wear metals and verified the "3X anti wear additive" claim on some TRIAX Atros aw46 oil. I don't trust labeling, but I do trust these oil results! I am now able to make an educated decision to change my hydraulic fluid and I KNOW the replacement oil is better!

over all good . they put 950 hr and it was 950 miles . that could of gave a false reading i called them asked about the mile . they told me its ok IM HAPPY SHIPPING GOOD

I sent aoil sample out for the first time on our 2008 Subaru outback with 190000 miles on it on a 5000 mile change interval Everything came back good. These tests dont come with suggestions or much else. I was happy to know this old EJ257 was still doing well and we will stick to our OCI and habits. I have 2 more test kits and will use them, Ill post the results shortly.
