GREAT bag and a company that stands behind their product--if you have an issue, please contact them to work it out
EDIT: 10/27/15 EZY TREAT contacted me to make the issue I had described in my previous review right. They were apologetic and confident that their new stock resolved the breaking hinge issue I experienced with my Black bag I purchased in July of 2015. As such, they sent me an orange bag so that I could evaluate it and give them another chance. I have been using the new orange bag daily for a week, and fiddling with the hinges (opening/closing) between training sessions to give the bag a solid workout. It is immediately apparent that the hinges in this new bag are much more resilient and better functioning than my previous bag (the hinges broke on the last bag with less than 50 open/close actions). The quality of the stitching, webbing, belt clasp, and zippers remains high. Of note, though, the belt and "three pocket" zipper section on the new orange bag is fastened to the main body of the bag in reverse orientation to the black bag I purchased previously. This does not change the function of the bag at all, just the orientation of the zipper and which direction it opens/closes. I will update this review again after longer use of the bag to post on the resiliency, but so far things are looking good and people in my obedience classes often ask me where I got the bag because of how well it is designed! Please see attached pictures for how I modified the broken black bag with a snap and multiple views of the bags and their pockets. Previous review: The bag is 5+ stars in all aspects *except* the "stay open/stay closed" clasp on the main treat pocket. Mine broke at the hinges after only three uses. This was particularly frustrating because I was assured that I received the "new version" of the product that did not have this issue. Also of concern, when the hinges break, they drop small metal pieces into your treats! In an attempt to make lemonade out of lemons, I removed the open/close mechanism altogether (relatively easy to pull out using a pair of pliers), then installed a single snap in the center of the opening so I could snap shut the treat bag when I wanted. This worked out GREAT and I love my bag even more than the first time I used it before it broke. Using a snap instead allows the opening to be larger and makes it easier to get your hand in and out when the bag is open, and closes it more securely than the previous mechanism. I've been using the bag daily for the last 3 months and no more issues! If you don't mind some DIY, I still think this is a great bag. As it's currently designed, however, it's unreliable, unwieldy, and possibly even dangerous with small metal pieces breaking off into your treats/bait!

I have used this until it was dead. And then I revived it because I love it so much.
2016-review- Handy marker training treat bag. I put golf balls or a ball on a rope in the front pocket. The back pocket is big enough for a puppy tug toy to slip into . Holds atleast two measuring cups of dog food in the main pouch. Doesn't get gross even after switching up what is inside . Nice adjustable waste band. Closes nicely so you can quickly snap the main compartment shut and doesn't spill when you bend over with it open. Pretty sturdy so you don't have to worry about your dog head butting it and nocking treats out like you would with different systems. I like the black because its not too loud and I don't feel like a total dog nerd in public. I have used this product every day since receiving it and I am very happy with it. 2020-review I have used this as an avalanche dog handler on a mountain for multiple years. Some things to note... Someone stepped on the buckle in ski boots and it broke, so I ended up replacing it with a totally overkill cobra buckle. That was easy and it was my own wrong doing. Ultimately I would like It if the waste band pocket was a tad larger for adult tug toys or even an iPhone in a case, but neither one of those are a deal breaker for me. This treat pouch has held up to severe abuse from weather and myself and its still functional. I actually only logged on to see if I could buy another one because mine is finally so gross its slightly embarrassing after 3.5 years of daily use in all weather.

Excellent bag; plenty of pockets!
The bag is very roomy in the main pouch and easy to get your hand in and out for treats. Ice used the smaller front zippered pocket alternately for more treats and to keep my clicker. The back zippered pocket is separated and I stashed a couple poop bags there. I was disappointed that in less than a day the plastic piece of the buckle cracked. It still buckles; just surprised it broke. The plastic is usually more durable. Still a great bag overall!

I purchased this bag a few weeks ago. First ...
I purchased this bag a few weeks ago. First of all I had really wanted the blue bag, however, the price for "blue" was $10 more on an already expensive treat bag. I teach dog classes and have used the bag only 6 times and the pin in the hinge fell out already. The rest of the bag appears to be holding up well and is made well, but it should not have fallen apart this quickly!

Comparison on this product with Guardian Gear and PetSafe pouches
We have two large dogs and go through a lot of treats. I work from home and have one on me every waking hour. We ended up buying three different treat bags from Amazon. Here is one consumer’s assessment: EZY Treat ($26.99): main compartment with hinge, but this broke and the pouch had to be replaced (the seller was great on the return, but they did not have my color in stock, so still waiting on it). Five other pockets as well. The zippered one in front could and should be bigger (there is plenty of pouch real estate on the front). My cell phone will not even fit. I am yet to find a use for the three pockets on the belt, due to their small size. I tried twice to have these be used for poop bags, but not worth the hassle. The “hidden pocket” is way on the small side (won’t fit my cell or wallet). In summary, one big pocket which has known issues with the hinge, and five smaller ones which are way small (cell phones and key chains are not as small as they used to be, I guess). The product does have a padded belt, but it makes the pouch come across as “bulky”. (Suggest to lose the insignia on the pouch.) Guardian Gear ($16.27): main compartment with hinge has shown no issues, compared to EZY Treat. There is a small velcro pocket on the front which looks like it want to hold a cell phone, but from personal experience, it is a good way to lose one (when you bend over, things fall out as the pocket is small and the velcro doesn’t catch for anything bigger than tiny). Please see the picture on the web site. It shows a cell phone in the front pocket with the velcro not catching (nice advertisement of a design flaw). The zippered pocket on the back of the pouch wants to be used, but for what? Too small for a cell phone, wallet, or keys. There is unused pouch real estate on both the front and back, so this could be a much better product with bigger pockets on both sides. (Nice job to keep an insignia off the product.) Petsafe ($10.16): I purchased this one last, as it was the lowest price, and was not expecting much, but wanted to try it as it advertised a bigger second pocket. The second pocket in front of the hinged one is large enough (and with velcro closure) to carry my cell phone, small wallet, keys, gum, sharpie, etc. I don’t quite get the third pocket at the bottom of the hinged one, which does have a velcro closure. Is the intent of this to hold “special” treats? I essentially don’t use it. I have well over 1000 hours of wear time on the product, and the efficiency of the design and durability continue to hold up. (One wish is to have an all-black product with no insignia. My kids give me a hard time when I am always wearing this, so the more neutral the better!) In my hands, after mega hours of use (with the exception of EZY Treat as the hinge was broken), based on the design, functionality, and durability of the products, the price ordering shown above should be reversed, and I would pay the higher price to get what is actually the least expensive option. Life is good for the customer on this one!

Great quality bag with a pouch for everything
A friend of mine had an around-the-waist dog treat pouch and I was tired of my clip-on one that didn't always work with the clothes I was wearing when walking. Also the clip was getting looser the more I used it. I did some research and found this Ezy Treat bag by Pets Savvy on Amazon and ordered one. Although the price was a bit higher than I originally had wanted to spend I have found the quality to be just as good if not better than I had hoped! There are several pockets for keeping items I need when taking long walks - a place for my roll of poop bags, a place for my phone, a place for treats etc. The waist clip is adjustable so everyone in my family can use it and it doesn't matter what I'm wearing when I use it. My dog is a rescue and he can be anxious around motorcycles, trucks and strange people or dogs. It is important that I keep at least a small amount of high quality treats with me for those times we find ourselves out of his comfort zone. This pouch allows me to do that, and the spring hinged compartment for treats means I can access them with one hand and my dog and his friends cannot! I also found the customer service of Pets Savvy to be helpful and friendly. If you want a good quality product that lasts then I suggest this product. I have not seen a similar product in quality in the pet stores I frequent in the states (CO and IA during summer) or where I live (UAE). I am very happy with my Amazon purchase.

Closure mechanism is a true safety issue
When I originally received this item I was impressed. The hinges forced the treat pocket closed nicely. After three days of use the pocket closure function no longer worked. Now today I noticed one of the hinge pins missing, which was there yesterday. I got concerned and emptied the bag. Inside I not only found the hinge pin, but the two pieces of spring steel that are used to close the bag/keep it open. My concern was that it was mixed in with the kibble and could have easily been fed to my dog since all the pieces were very small. YIKES! I really do like the fabric construction & idea of the bag, but the spring & closure mechanism is a hazard. Please consider serious redesign of closure method, or at least isolating the closure mechanism away from the treat section. The rest of the bag is great, and wish I could have rated it higher, but when my dog's safety is at risk, good conscience prevents it..

Good Pouch, Good Service
Update as of 6/16 Nearly a year of almost daily use and its still functioning (mostly) if getting a little tired. This is a new record for a treat pouch around here! The hinge pin finally did fall out and get lost but I just replaced it with a wood screw and carried on. Original Review: Treat pouches get heavy use with me. I've tried several different types, then I saw that this one had a year warranty on the french hinge so I thought I'd give it a try. Every brand I've tried the hinges fail within a few months so I figured a pouch with a warranty would be a good idea for me, even if it was a little more expensive. The first pouch I received the hinge snapped after a couple of weeks, but the company was very helpful and sent me a replacement right away. I'm three months in on the replacement now and its holding up very well. Plus I already know that if it breaks again they will honor their warranty. So I'm happy. As someone else has noted, there is a little metal post in the hinge on each side that sometimes comes loose. Especially if I'm shaking the pouch upside down to empty and clean it, the post will sometimes fall out. I've had no trouble popping it back in again it the few times it has happened but it is something to keep an eye on because the hinge will definitely not work if the post is missing. The main pocket is a good size for treats and the front pocket is a good size for bags or keys. The other pockets are pretty small, I don't really use them, although the top one would probably hold a few coins for a meter or something like that. The fabric is durable and not too hard to wipe clean. All in all I'm well satisfied with the product and the service.
