Review: Works great on a 27 year old iMac - This and an SSD replaced the old electro-mechanical hard drive in an iMac G3 DV. Everything worked great right out of the box. I did have trouble loading MacOS X 10.4 on the SSD so I gave up on that after many tries. But it definitely works fine on the iMac with macOS 8.6 or macOS 9.2.
