In The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster you will learn the best strategies Darren has ever collected from the most successful people on the planet, covering the four essential skills necessary for entrepreneurial success: sales, recruiting, leadership, and productivity. This essential guidebook will prepare you for the wild ride of entrepreneurship. It will warn you (of forthcoming fears, doubts, and the self-defeating conditioning of your upbringing and past), inoculate you (from the naysayers, dream-stealers, and pains of rejection and failure), and guide you (as you build those underdeveloped skills of independence, self-motivation, and self-accountability) safely past the landmines that blow up and cause the failure of 66 percent of all new businesses. Discover why NOW is the best time to #JOINTHERIDE. Review: One Hell of a Ride! - Darren Hardy has done a masterful job in presenting the key the concepts it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. I found this book to be entertaining and insightful. I enjoyed the autobiographical nature of this book because at adds credibility to his message. From Darren earning $150,000 in a year..when he was all of 18 years young to some of the poor hiring decisions he has made throughout his career, he lays it all out on the table for the reader! I also appreciated the insights he gleaned from the many super successful businessman he's interviewed. I thought those excerpts further reinforced his message. You will recognize some of those names immediately but others aren't as well known. Some of the most compelling quotes came from those successful business people who aren't readily recognizable by the general public. One key concept that I'm glad he brought up was the idea of practice. For those of you who have read Outliers, that's not a new concept. However, Darren brought up the concept of practice in a dialogue he had with someone who set a goal of reading 32 books. On the surface that sounds like a great goal but Darren gave the person some great advice when he recommended that she instead read 1 GREAT book 32 times. I've found that 95% of the people who attend seminars and read the books stay stuck because they have a low willingness to accept change. They are ready and willing to learn something new but do a poor job in applying the content. They spend years on the "Seminar Circuit" and accomplish very little in real life. Additionally, Darren provides the reader with resources to get them to really think about their true passions and strengths. "Thinking is the hardest work their is" as Henry Ford once said, and that's why few people do it. Furthermore, I found the discussion on leadership to be quite helpful particularly with the changing demographics of the workforce. All in all, I would highly recommend this book anyone who is about to take the plunge into entrepreneurship, for existing entrepreneurs who are struggling, and for successful entrepreneurs who may have unconsciously developed some bad habits that could derail their business. Fasten Your Seatbelts! Review: A Goldmine of Value - It seems silly to write a review about a book that I just purchased and am only in the middle of Chapter two of. So why write one? Because if I stopped reading right this minute and never read any more of this book, it would have been worth the money to buy it and the effort to read this far. As an entrepreneur myself, I can relate to all I've read this far. I applaud Darren Hardy for having the passion, and taking the time and energy that it took to write this masterpiece. I can't wait to read more, yet already, I would love to share this book with the entire world. I also have to say that I absolutely love how he writes. It is funny, thorough, insightful, enthusiastic, passionate, and straight forward all at the same time. He writes from his own experiences, and that of being the publisher of Success Magazine and having interviewed a cadre of successful entrepreneurs in a wide variety of fields. And, this book is not just a book. It is a an adventure. It is a road map, It is a resource. It is a master plan. It is a mentor. This is a complete package, well researched and compiled, with all manner of helps and loads of encouragement. If you've ever thought even just a little about being in business for yourself, this book will be well worth your investment in time and money.

A Goldmine of Value

Must read "How To Manual" for any new or old Entrepreneur.
Great book that should be read by anyone starting a business. The methods outlined in here will save you years of stagnation and anguish. I am 49 years old and have been an Entrepreneur my entire life. Had I had this book and implemented the advice from the beginning, I can definitively say that my business would have looked very different, in a much better way, than it does today. Good thing I am a believer in "It's never too late to start a good habit". Otherwise I may be beating the crap out of myself for all of the things I had done wrong to this point. Unfortunately for me, much of what is written in this book are lessons I learned the hard way. But that is also the beauty of the book, Darren has done the same thing. But, as an added bonus, he has had some incredible mentors and he has been a fastidious student who took miles of notes. From that, Mr. Hardy is now sharing what he learned from his own trials and from 100's of the worlds most successful people, with us.

Excellent book that gives you real tools and advice you can use.
This amazing book brings together a huge set of tools and knowledge geared toward making entrepreneurs successful. Darren Hardy has pulled together advice from some of the greatest entrepreneurs and successful people of our time. He focuses on the challenges in starting a business from the personal fears of taking risks to the business challenges one will face as the business develops and gives solid advice on how to deal with them. Some of the key messages in the book especially his advice on sales and marketing completely reframed the way I thought about how to develop products and build a business. Both Entrepreneurs and Intrepreneurs (working within larger companies) will find this information directly applicable to developing new business and working with customers. I own both the Hardcover Book and the Audio Book and have purchased copies for several friends. I would highly recommend this book.

Very inspiring
I gave this books 4 star rating because only God is perfect. However, this book comes very close. This book is on a recommended reading for a new business I am starting. It is inspiring, but it also gives practical advice and exercises to do to help you figure out some important things about yourself and why you want to start your own business. Darren doesn't sugarcoat anything, but he doesn't try to discourage you either. I had several "Aha" moments while reading this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to venture out on his/her own,but is afraid they are not good enough or are afraid of failing. The only real failure is in not trying.

Great book
I am a HUGE fan of Darren Hardy’s work and this book didn’t disappoint. I subscribe to his magazine, Darren Daily and have read his previous book the Compound Effect. You’re missing out if you’re not feeding you mind with Hardy’s material. This book is very easy to read and has ton of good insights. A few ideas stick out in my mind from his book: • “A” plays are free – it’s the C and B players that cost you money. Makes perfect sense to me • Jim Rohn was his mentor and he explained how he attended Rohn’s conference 6 times. Wow. • In this pursuit, he recommends reading his book over and over. If you listen to his Success CDS’s from Success Magazine you might find some of his stories a little repetitive as he retells many of the same stories. That being said, the stories are worth rehearing. Good book. Hardy rocks.

Tells it like it is! Like no other book does!
"The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster" likens becoming an entrepreneur with the various stages of a roller coaster ride. The ups and downs, and the twist and turns. But most of all, the process of overcoming our own fears! Why should you invest time and money in the book? Perhaps the the author summed it up best when he wrote in the epilogue: "That Saturday morning breakfast turned into lunch and before we knew it, it was almost happy hour when Mike finally let out a sigh. " 'Man. I just wish I would’ve recorded this or something. I know a few guys who could use this dose of perspective. And even more they need someone to say to them what you just said to me….' He stopped as an unexpected lump got caught in his throat. "And that’s when I knew. "That’s when I knew this book had to be written. "...—to tell the whole story, to let you know that the crazy ups and downs you’re experiencing (or will experience) are normal, and that you have what it takes. That’s the main reason I labored to write this book." Thank you Darren Hardy for writing this book for Mike and all the other entrepreneurs pondering what to expect, and whether it is normal. I highly recommend "The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster"!

Wie ein Leitfaden für angehende Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer
Ich habe zuerst "The Compound Effect" gelesen und dann lange Darren Hardys "Darren Daily" angesehen, ehe ich sein Buch "The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster: Why Now Is the Time to #JointheRide" gelesen habe. Klare Leseempfehlung!

I tried to read a few books like these, but none of them really spoke to me as an individual. This one however does. Darren manages to give you vital information overlooked by so many people in your industry, that will help you become successful way over their heads, but he also manages to help you with all your fears, doubts and worries as you go on. I couldn't recommend this book enough... actually I think i'll go ahead and start reading it again right now!

A recipe for Success
I wish I had read this book when I started my first business at 24, however at 60 it's never too late. Through the use of countless real life stories and experiences, Darren Hardy takes the reader through a step by step guide to succeeding in small and larger businesses. If you are currently employ other people please do yourself a favor and do two things. 1. Buy this book, 2. Read Chapter 4 before you employ anyone else The application of the wisdom in Chapter will change your life. Period. I just made my "Amanda" redundant.
