LENOX Tools Hacksaw Blade, 12-inch, 32 TPI, 2-Pack (20162T232HE)

Very sharp and cuts well.

I picked up this 2-pack of LENOX 32 TPI blades specifically for cutting 2020 aluminum extrusions for a DIY 3D printer frame, and they performed exceptionally well. Cutting thin-walled aluminum profiles with standard, lower-tooth-count blades often leads to catching, chattering, and chewed-up edges. The 32 TPI (teeth per inch) density is the sweet spot here: • Minimal Tear-Out & Clean Edges: The high tooth count keeps multiple teeth engaged on the extrusion walls at all times. It glides smoothly without snagging on the outer channels or internal cross-bracing. • Accuracy: Mounted in a standard tensioned frame alongside a miter box, the bi-metal construction stayed rigid. The blade didn't wander or twist, producing square, flush cuts with very little deburring needed afterward. • Durability: Cut through four 1-meter lengths into smaller segments without dulling noticeably. The teeth held their edge with no chipping. A drop of cutting lubricant or light machine oil makes the stroke even smoother and prevents aluminum chips from gumming up the teeth. For anyone doing framing, sim rigs, or custom printer builds with aluminum extrusions, these blades are well worth having in the toolbox.

I got 12 and needed 10's. Had to cut and drill a hole in them to shorten, but they work fine.

I had a 24 TPI blade for my projects and had a little hard time cutting 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch PVC and EMT with it, so I got this 32 TPI to see if it's easier and it was. Highly recommend.
