A Backpack You Can Rely On!
The JanSport Big Student Classics Series Backpack in Navy has been an absolute game-changer for me. Its spacious compartments and multiple pockets make it perfect for organizing all my essentials, from textbooks and notebooks to snacks and water bottles. The navy color is timeless and goes well with any outfit. Moreover, the durability of this backpack is unmatched. I've been using it daily for months, and it still looks as good as new. The padded straps provide comfort even when the bag is fully loaded, and the reinforced bottom adds extra protection. One of the best features is the return and product support eligibility. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything were to happen to the backpack, I could easily get assistance or a replacement. Overall, I highly recommend the JanSport Big Student Classics Series Backpack to anyone in need of a reliable and stylish backpack for school, work, or travel. It's simply the best!

Love these backpacks! Good for school and travel!!
I have 3 busy boys. When we first bought these backpacks they were starting 4rd, 8th and 11th grades. All 3 of them love the numerous pockets and divisions which help them stay organized. They love the variety of colors and they each picked colors and styles to match their personalities. My middle son is very hard on everything he owns. One year we picked out a $65 backpack (not a Jansport), which he had torn a hole in before the third month of use, this we replaced with yet another brand that faired only better than the original. This is when we decided to try this style. He has now had his backpack for 2 years and I am going to buy him a replacement one to start 10th grade. The top strap is torn and the backpack is dirty and a bit torn on the bottom but considering the child using it, it has held up beyond my expectations (I would have been happy with 1 year and we got 2!!). The other 2 boys, now a 6th grader and a college freshman) are still using their original backpacks and despite offering the college freshman a new backpack, he says his is still good. I think he likes the softer more malleable shoulder straps of his well worn backpack. I bought one for myself and use it when we travel. It easily fits a lot of my travel necesities and all the pockets help me keep our travel papers, laptop and other essentials organized and on hand.

Overall, I'm happy with it.
This bag has been great! I use this as a car/truck bag. It usually, has a set of clothes, first aid kit, flashlight, pens, notepad.and other things you can think of to put in an emergency bag. With room to spare since it has 2 large main compartments and 2 smaller ones up front. Lots of storage. I've also used it as a weekend travel bag. Its been my carry-on when i visit family in California. I've packed 2-4 sets of clothes depending on the weather. The front pockets great for chargers and cords powerbanks and earbuds and glasses. I would put toiletries in a pouch and pack it in one of the main compartments. It's made of a nylon material that does provide some water resistance. So, a few drops from your drink or a light sprinkle of rain, you'll be ok for a short time. Enough to wipe down or get to some place dry. As for durability, it's held up pretty well in the couple years I've had it. As states earlier, it is made of a nylon material. It's been dragged in and out of my cars numerous times. And thrown up in to the airplane bins several times as well. Only one thread has exposed itself at the grab handle. I've had other Jansport packs over the years and they've all been very good. Overall, I'm happy with it and would recommend. Thanks

Hands Down The Best Backpack Ever-It Fits Everything and Is So Durable My Son's On His Fourth School Year With The Same Backpack
This backpack is the biggest, sturdiest and best backpack for middle school and high school. We bought this for my son in 2012, and this is his 4th school year using the same backpack. He lugs a lot of books, spirals, supplies, gym clothes, personal items like a wallet and sunblock, his oversized lunch bag and water. It was such a struggle packing his prior backpacks as they were all too small to hold the daunting load of materials kids are expected to bring everyday to school. Everything he needs fits, and there are lots of zippers and compartments to stay organized. My son's had no issue with the zippers getting stuck, and there are no obvious signs of wear and tear even though he's on his fourth school year using this same backpack. The straps are padded and comfortable, and the navy is a good looking shade of blue. We tried a lot of different backpacks before finding this one, and this is hands down the best backpack by a mile. We've definitely gotten our money's worth out of this one- which I'm sure he'll be using again next school year too. Definitely recommend it.

Great bag, just as I expected
I was looking for good school bag for my labor intensive senior year at college, as well as my years in graduate school. Of course, I know Jansport is known for their backpacks, but it was all a matter of finding something large enough, as next semester I'll have days with all four classes, as well as having to bring gym clothes along with me. The main compartment of this bag is huggggeee, and I've managed to fit two textbooks, four notebooks, and my computer in it, with room to spare. The second compartment fits my gym clothes, also with room to spare. I love all the pockets at the front of the bag---great for staying organized. The pocket at the very front is the perfect size to carry my lunch, while I still have plenty of room in the rest for pens, pencils, calculators, my computer charger, my phone, wallet, and I imagine, anything else I'd have to bring in a regular school day. The S-shaped straps on the bag are unlike any bag I've had before... Not uncomfortable, but just take some getting used to. Actually, they're kind of nice because I feel like they give me better support for my bag, and hopefully I'll have less back pain. The only other thing worth mentioning is that on this particular listing, the navy blue is SLIGHTLY bluer in the picture than what shipped (which is fine by me, and what I was hoping for). The actual bag is just very slightly more grey blue rather than just dark blue.

Spacy and Comfortable, but Quality Might Not Be the Best.
This is a nice, large backpack that is a pretty good price in comparison to all the low-quality yet expensive backpacks I found in Target, Walmart, etc. It's perfect for a high school student who needs some more pack room for 5 binders and a few spirals/compositions, as well as any books they need to bring for the day. There were a few things that bugged me though: Why only one water bottle pocket? I know that's being nitpicky but my daughter needs to bring two waters each day and she prefers not to drink from the water fountain (she says her schools water tastes funny). She has to put it into one of the bigger pockets, risking leaks onto her papers. Also, the bottom of the bag is only one layer of fabric. When I previously bought a Jansport model, the bottom had some padding to make it more durable. It seems that they removed that, and while the backpack looks pristine now, I am questioning the quality of it after several months of use. I hope I won't have to purchase another backpack so soon because of seam rippings. It's a great price for a pretty nice backpack though, so it is a good buy compared to what I would be getting directly from the store.

My son loves it
I just bought this for my son in high school. He has folders for every subject plus textbooks for 4 of them that he carries around because he doesn't use his locker. He has gone through a number of backpacks, the last of which was over $40. He loves all the room he has in this one. He said the straps are easier on his shoulders but they were somewhat irritating because they were so stiff. I rolled them back and forth to loosen them up and now he said they are more comfortable. He loves all the compartments it has. Over all it seems to be a good buy. I will know more by the end of the school year. UPDATE AUG 1, 2014 I have to update my review after 2 years. This backpack is really strong. My son has this for half his sophomore year and his whole junior year and there isn't even a tear in it. The reason it was half the sophomore yr was because his last back pack that I bought him in Sept. ripped. I was spending anywhere from $35 to almost $50 for backpacks every year and the last one didn't even make it through the school year. He's now going into his Senior year of HS and it's still in excellent condition. He has carried some pretty heavy textbooks in this thing and it's holding up for longer than I ever thought it would. I fully expect him to get through his senior year with this backpack. It's a great bargain.

great bag
Jansport has always been my favourite brand of backpacks. i had my previous one for about 7 years before i bought this one, and it wasn't because it was broken or anything but i just needed a bigger bag. this bag has lasted me the school year so far, and i know it will last for many years to come. the large size is exactly what i needed as i do carry a lot of things. i use it mostly for school, but have also used it to pack clothes for trips. great pocket sizes, and water bottle holder is a great plus.
