Works as promised when everything else fails
The stuff WORKS. I absolutely hate having to resort to herbicides but invasive Japanese elm were taking over everything around me. They starved out everything I tried to plant that wasn’t invasive. They have an underground root system and spread like spruce but are far more resistant to any type of parasite or other diseases. Sugar ants LOVE the species and you’ll soon have enormous colonies of them taking over everything including your home. The ants have effectively begun to affect the soil around structures on the ground. Anyway, use it responsibly around your pets and wildlife. Follow instructions carefully. Make cuts in the wood, apply to the wounds then cover everything with plastic barriers and leave it for a few months until the poison is no longer a threat. I used plastic and rubber bands to seal off the poisoned flesh.

Works well
This really does work. You can drill several 2-4 inch deep holes in the root and then cover the holes with a plex glass to keep the moisture away(not necessary). The root will rot within a month. If you want to kill a live small tree drill holes and pour this stuff preferably in the fall when the sap goes into the root snd the shrub or the small tree will die in a monitor two. Good stuff.

Powerful killer for Black Locust sprouts
We faced the horror movie "The Revenge of the Black Locust" after cutting down and grinding the stump of this pesky tree. Whatever roots remained in the ground were sprouting everywhere, even under the deck where their leafy shoots would find a way up through the cracks between the boards. So I put some Tordon RTU in a contact-lens-solution bottle for easier dispensing and have carefully treated every sprout I see that's more than a few inches tall. This means cutting the sprouts off near the ground with pruning shears and then dripping a few drops of this stuff onto the cut end (the blue dye helps you confirm you hit the target). I was skeptical, but it really has worked. We are now in peak black locust sprout season, and I've seen only about a dozen or so small ones (which I have similarly treated). Whatever is in this chemical seems to curb the hyperactive growth we saw the previous summer, where trees would spring up several feet seemingly overnight! One star comes off for the lack of any practical dispenser top—this packaging is clearly not intended for homeowners.

Great for hackberry saplings.
This stuff works great on hackberry saplings. Just dab a little bit on the stump when you cut them down & the do not grow back. We have fought with hackberries for years now & this is the only thing that works! Buy it!

Effective tree and brush killer!
Safety caution - User should wear nitrile gloves, just in case you get a drop on yourself. Do on a non-windy day too and when it isn't going to rain. You do need to be very careful applying so that you only get if on what fresh woody plant cut you wish to kill over that entire surface. What you apply it too, if freshly cut to absorb into roots will die. Take your time and don't spill on your self or make contact with another plant or lawn. If animals in your yard, kennel or put in house until absorbed by stem, or woody plant growth. Highly toxic per warnings. This isn't your normal watered down garden store product. Will last me many years in a suburban environment! Best applied last morning I think after dew is gone and on a sunny day for the plant stem to absorb into root. Worked great on killing elm sprout ups and annoying fruit tree spouts in lawn. Takes time to cut each and every sprout and apply but worth the effort. Trimming and spraying never worked for over 10 years, this works quickly. Will kill what sprouts up after you cut down a tree! Just get new sprouts when they come up and down mow them so you get enough growth to get a substantial enough growth to get a drop on it. Just be smart about it and recap bottle and remove and clean dispenser pull cap after each use. Simple, takes time, and a degree of care and respect for chemical and environment and it should be safe and very effective! Do not have around any minors or where pets can get at due to toxicity!!
