This is a great holster.Comes with paddle and belt mount.Very secure - your pistol will not come out when running, fighting, rolling around.Fits my S&W 38 Special concealed hammer nicely.And fits my S&W 22 long revolver in the same JFrame - but tightly - hopefully it will loosen up.

Bodyguard .38 owners: your handgun will not fit, and Blackhawk! does not currently make a SERPA for the Bodyguard .38. Disappointing for sure, but I made the sacrifice testing it so you don't have to.The good news for J-frame owners: If you're shopping for a quality holster the search is over. As an owner of several SERPA holsters for my other handguns I can tell you that I without a doubt recommend them above all else. A fast, safe, and easy drawing holster that also holds onto your handgun like a vice.

I like the fact that the gun locks into place and can't be removed unless you push the release in...It come with two different kinds of attachments....the bigger one shown off the holster is an in your pants,,, gun on the outside of your waist...you don't even need a belt for this configuration....but the in your pant part of the plastic holster is big and it is a little annoying....The configuration shown with the holster already attached needs a belt...it has belt loop holes so the holster fits to your waste with belt only...you can screw it off and use the other attachment...your preference..

I have several holsters for my Model 36 J frame .38 but the Blackhawk Serpa Holster is the best! It is without a doubt the fastest draw holster I own. When I grab the grip, my index finger naturally lands right on the finger lock. Just a slight pressure releases the gun and your trigger finger is automatically in the master grip position, ready for action. The lock is positive and secure. There is a screw adjustment to adjust the pressure of the holsters grip. It comes with a paddle for wearing inside your pants and a belt attachment as well. Both can be adjusted to several different angles. GREAT HOLSTER......and it looks cool too!

Normally I'll carry the Glock 26, but sometimes I want a little less drag pulling on my belt. The S&W .38 snubbie is perfect for the task. This little holster fits the weapon like a glove. The retention lock works great, and its location is perfect. When drawing the weapon, using the trigger finger to release the lock is natural. I've had one of these for my Glocks for years, and have never had a problem with it. The one for the .38 S&W works just as well. I'm sure I'll be using it for years to come.

As bad as I hate to admit it, this Blackhawk is not the holster for the S&W 38. I have the hammer-less. It just is not a good fit. I have other Blackhawk holster so I bought this one in spite of the objections. Now I am searching for another holster that holds my S&W J-frame 38 special correctly. This is too tight. This first time I tried to set the 38 into the holster, it did not want to click. Then I loosened the nut, still too tight. So I loosened it some more. Finally, the nut was not even in the holster. I have it with just the holster not belt because it was so tight. Spend your money more wisely than I did mine and buy another holster the first time.
