The ice maker line box includes (1) pre-installed support bracket, (1) face plate cover, (1) 1/4-turn ball valve, (1) hammer arrestor, and (1) 1/4 inch OD compression outlet. Certified by the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), this ice maker water valve box features a working temperature of 34 degrees F to 180 degrees F and a working pressure of 125 PSI. Review: Provides an accessible connection for your water supply line to your frig ... - We are renovating the kitchen in the 1918 Farmhouse we purchased this summer. I wanted everything to be right and that included the water line connection to our new frig. This in-wall outlet box was perfect for us to connect the water supply line from under the sink, down under the floor, though the basement, to this outlet box, in back of the frig, then on to the frig for water and ice. Two things to note: 1) we connected the outlet box to a cold water valve via a valve under the sink, using braided water lines to the frig that were specially meant for safe water connections. We did not use the typically pierce/saddle valve connection, which I had used myself on past installations. And wow, what a difference in water pressure by connecting directly to a water line, versus the piercing saddle valve. The output to the in-door water is dramatically increased. The water line outlet box proves a convenient connection location for the frig, along with the hammer (surge) arrestor, which will help ensure the ice maker/water are not impacted by a pressure surge in the water line. I don't expect this since we are on a stable city water supply, but the precaution couldn't hurt. Review: Great so far - This was exactly what I needed to replace our old fridge water line. We used to have a straight 3/8โ pipe stepped down to 1/4โ flexible copper pipe to the fridge that kinked and had the potential to burst after too many bends from pulling the fridge in and out. When we had to replace our fridge I took the opportunity to put this in for the peace of mind. Well worth the money. No leaks and water flow is a lot higher than our old setup. It was easy to install even for my first time soldering copper/brass pipes.

Good quality replacement
I had to move my existing icemaker outlet box to a new location during a kitchen remodel. My plumber gave me the requirements (sweat connection to existing copper waterline), hammer arrestor, 1/4 inch compression connection to refrigerator). This box came with everything required for the plumber to install. Installed a month ago with no issues. Good solid quality product

So far so good love that it had the shark bite type connection
Wry happy with this. My local Loweโs and Home Depot had only very cheap no name brands In stock that made we weary. This seems solid and great quality

Great product
Great product and the built in hammer arrestor keeps the rattle when the water or ice options are used on the fridge.

Does the job, a bit flimsy
A bit flimsy. I had to secure the pex with some blocking otherwise the tension would bend the thin plastic. I also added extra flat head screws through the plastic for a more secure installation. The trim doesn't snap positively. I used some caulking that I had laying around to keep it together. It was the only ice maker outlet box that I could find with a water hammer arrestor and pex. It does the job.

Does the job well
Over all this ice maker outlet box is good, but the plastic is a bit flimsy which is not a big issue since this unit is hidden behind my fridge. I use it for the water line to my fridge for ice and chilled water. I have had it in operation for 4 months now with no issues.

Hammer arrestor
Hammer arrestor doesn't work.

ugly faceplate, 1/8" askew
Hammer arrestor works well. Valve works well and feels solid. Face plate is not square. Once side is more than an 1/8th taller.
