Have to use a computer to charge by USB port, for initial charge, in your home. It does have a car adapter for charging. Plastic parts are kind of cheap. May not be that durable. Instructions do not tell you how to assemble. Price of unit is reasonable. Screen shots and color of screen are nice and visible. Does have many options other than GPS. I was surprise because I did not see all these options when I bought the unit. Wanted it for a trip to KS and it flat out wouldn't do piddly squat. Could not locate where our house was, so it was completely useless. If I can get it to work, I'll give it another rating. So far, not at all impressed. PS: I do NOT live outside of the US!Since I wrote this review, nothing has changed. Needed GPS to head out to IL for a funeral and it was useless. Could've come in handy on our way back home when I 70 W was closed and I have to follow signs to a different exit that would take us to I 70 W. Nothing like having a 4 lane highway during rush hour traffic! UGG! ### ⭐ Not what I expected *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2019* I ordered this as a gift for my father since it has larger text than the Garmins that I use for myself, and after setting it up for him I must say that I'm not impressed with this product. The website that is included with the booklet for map updates doesn't even exist, and it doesn't even allow me to input addresses with more than three digits in the street number (even though the prompt says that it allows up to four.)
