what a great tool. It's big, good for guiding my saw for cuts across 2x4, 2x6's. Very easy to use, hard to lose.

It is definitely not metal speed square but looks like it is made with durable material for average DIYer. It is accurate enough get the job done. I would recommend this to anyone who is casual user and need to use 12" sppedsquare occasionally and don't want to spend money for expensive 12" metal speed square.

It's square. But the markings are hard to read and I didn't want to spend time coloring them in when I can just buy one that I can read for about the same price. Also, this is a personal thing, but the orange color actually almost stings my eyes. It's irritating to look at. Makes it easy to find, but it started to drive me crazy just sitting there. I'm sure most won't have that problem, though. I might have sensitive eyes or something. Anyways I prefer the hi-viz yellow or just plain al, blue, or black, with a good location to keep it so it isn't lost in clutter.

Better quality than expected, especially for the price. Functions as well as any speed square I've ever used and easy to see when you've misplaced it

Cutting laminated shingles square and at precise lengths was a hassle. The Speedlight's 12" fence makes it much easier. For lumber, the square can guide the base plate of a saw. Because I keep putting the square down, the color helps me spot it when I need it again. On youtube, a carpenter showed speedquare like mine with black markings. He said he'd smeared on acrylic paint, then wiped it off the surface with a cloth. It wasn't so easy for me. I needed a toothpick to paint in the straight grooves and a cotton swab to dab paint into the characters. Wiping with a damp cloth made a mess until I learned to blot the paint with toilet paper first. The results were worth the trouble. If I have in my pocket a couple of feet of small string, weighted at one end, this square will show me the pitch of a roof. At the rake, I turn the square so that the fence is toward the peak and the ruled side is along the roof or facia board. If I suspend the string from the pivot notch, it will show the pitch in degrees or inches in 12. The upper "CL" mark has an indentation to guide a drill bit. I used a 1/16" bit to make a hole big enough for my pocket plumb line. If I suspend the line from the hole and adjust the square so that the lower CL mark lines up with the string, the hypotenuse is level, as in the second photo. If I don't have a pocket plumb line, it will still show me vertical and horizontal if i suspend it by the diamond hole, as in the first photo.

Plastico bem grosso de alta qualidade e precisão excelente, gostei demais rígido e grandão, bem mais em conta que o de aluminio da marca que custa 4x mais caro, pela economia comprei também o esquadro Savage que também é excepcional e preciso, não é a toa que Swanson é sinônimo em esquadros, sempre uso a tampa do fogão pra testar pois é de vidro desliza fácil com um triangulo feito em Cad fica uma jóia pra testar esquadros.

La recibí antes de la fecha. Se ve y esta hecha de buen material, por lo que es muy practica. La recomiendo
