Great bed alarm
Works great. Saves me a lot of anxiety. Now I know if my 90 year old father is getting out of bed!

Helped to keep my grandma safe
This bed alarm worked perfectly to alert us when my grandmother would try to get up during the night. Because we were able to respond quickly she had no falls overnight before she passed. We did discover that there were less false alarms when we placed the alarm under her lower back/hip area. There are two alarm sound levels depending on how lightly you sleep so it is worth testing what alarm level you need before actually using this with your loved one. The alarm even worked downstairs so we could go have breakfast before she got up for the day and not worry the entire time (before the alarm we had to run upstairs every time we heard any small sound).

Family caregiver
Perfect for family member that has dementia or is confused. I have now bought 4 all together over the last 5 months. It has saved my loved ones from a nasty fall.

Great solution for wandering adults with dementia.
This was easy to install. It was ready to go in five minutes. Three different volume for the chime. You can hang the receiver out move it with you. This allows me to get a better nights sleep not worrying. I've only been able to truth the chime off by turning off the receiver. There should be a button to silence the alarm.

A Life Saver
Literally, a life saver. This device has been so pivotal in the care of my father who has dementia. It is sensitive enough to pick up his movement, even when he’s fidgeting and uncomfortable but just doesn’t know how to call for help. It has also saved us more times than none in the attempts that he’s had to get out of the bed for whatever reason. The only thing is remembering to turn it back on! Otherwise, it’s been wonderful. Works very well. If there’s one thing I’m most thankful for in this season, it’s this device!

Best Bed Alarm System
This is the BEST wireless bed alarm system. I did a lot of research and decided this was definitely the one. Needless to say, we had no problems until a little more than a year. There is a disclosure saying it will last about a year where we would need to replace the pad (due to the internal wiring). I replaced it with a pad that had a 3 second delay and didn't realize it until half a year later when the caregivers finally mentioned something. Dad had fallen trying to get out of bed, fortunately, no bones were broken. I called Steven Parker, Smart Caregiver Manager, and explained my problem. He quickly solved the problem with so much care and understanding, apparently there is an immediate response mat, I purchased the wrong one. Due to his knowledge and quick thinking, I was able to get the correct mat for my 100 year old Dad. Customer service is phenomenal and this product is excellent.

A lifesaver! Needs three C batteries!
I bought this in a rush knowing that my dad was about to be discharged from the hospital. I purchased it thanks to reviews that explained the option for a low-volume alarm that could be kept with the caregiver vs. the typical ear-piercing alarm that goes off at the bedside. It got here the night before his discharge and I couldn't use it the first night because I didn't have batteries (a nerve-wracking, mostly sleepless night). Night two, batteries installed and alarm in place, it was wonderful! I could sleep in my own space, keep the alarm next to me in bed, and jump and run into my dad's room when it went off. The chime is loud enough on low, but it's not jarring and I don't have to worry about waking the neighbors in adjoining units. I'm sure it's already saved us from calling paramedics to get him off the floor (or worse), and it's saved me from having to move an air mattress into his room like I did after a broken hip a few years ago.

Dead irreplaceable battery
I've had two of these for awhile and replaced the C batteries in the alarm occasionally. Then one day no sound from my father getting up. Guess what - the sender that is attached to the bed pad was dead. OK - no problem I will find that replacement part and all will be good. WRONG! When you call these people up they tell you that once that sensor battery goes dead - your only recourse is to buy the whole unit again. Are you kidding me? I'm on a fixed income taking care of both my parents and I'm just supposed to throw this whole contraption out and buy a new. Isn't this the definition of planned obsolesce. Sham on you Smart Care people for such a contrivance.
