I was really concerned about this product because the pictures don't do the product any justice at all. I was really expecting the locks to rattle loosly even when locked..... However, these locks not only don't look cheap, but they don't function that way either. the locking mechanism moves smothly both in and out of the locking chamber. The latch is sturdy and tightly fits into its locking position when locked. The coloring is absolutly beautiful on the lock(s). I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a antique looking display of a lock.

So, perfect for my project. They are very sturdy, well made and best of all they are real working locks, with a spring action. I purchased the set, knowing I would only need 1, the others are most likely going to be saved. My project is for a soon to be 10 year old boy, so the locks are really backups! Used them to secure a little toy treasure chest I made. They're extremely simple in design and you could pick them in a heartbeat with almost anything if you wanted to so I wouldn't use it to secure actual valuables (the key just flicks one tiny switch on the inside). But for my purposes as a toy, the lock stays locked while you tug and the key works to open it. Any key will work on any lock. Took off one star for quality since while two of the locks "click" open and return to the starting position, one of them just kind of spins (it still works but then you have to twist the key around to pull it out).

Bought these for a holiday scavenger hunt and needed locks for a small treasure chest. These fit the bill and make the chest look more authentic. So far, the locks seem to be well made and hold up well, at least for the light use we need them for. Highly recommend!

I purchased these to use in an escape room I built for students. While the keys all open all of the locks, I only needed one, so this was perfect. Since I wasn't looking for true security, the ability to pick this lock easily was of no concern. This has a great classic "treasure chest" look to it. Perfect and a great value.

Good little locks to keep the honest people out / away . Good for small keepsake or cheap Jewelry boxes . Or kids diary box etc...

Bought these for my wives jewelry cabinet mirror. Gave sturdiness a 5 even though I could probably smack them open, but I knew they wouldn't be incredibly sturdy, they are good for what they are. They look great. This is just to keep the kids from playing with her stuff, not for security.

I love these little locks! I used them in an escape room and the old fashioned design fit perfectly for the scenario. They wouldn't keep a determined thief out but they were sturdy enough for what I needed and they look and feel awesome!
