Terraillon Thermo Chef Meat Fork

Having been given one of these years ago, I was devastated when I realised I had to dispose of it - not because it stopped working but because the handle was starting to perish and go all sticky. Believe me, this thermometer didn't owe me anything - it had lasted for years, never letting me down. Initially, I didn't believe I'd get a similar one and purchased a high-tech three-part thermometer set - all singing and dancing. However, you had to know what temperature you needed the meat to be which meant consulting the chart etc in the middle of the frantic activity involved in preparing Sunday roasts for a large family! Could I figure out how to use it? What a waste of money. Imagine my delight when I found this - the exact same as mine - on Amazon. And so reasonably priced. Now - I can just set the required level for the meat I'm cooking: Rare, Medium, Well - etc, and it tells me whether my joint has reached it. Couldn't be easier. One very satisfied customer!

Very happy with ti's item

Bought this to replace a 25 year old identical model that had finally "died". Just proves that the initial model has lasted well as the new one was exactly the same design..

This is the 2nd one we've had. 1st one we had for over 10 years. No more overcooked meat, gives me so much confidence.

Very slow to indicate the temperature, and I am still confused as to whether the meat selected is cooked medium or rare.

Had one of these before for a number of years. New version excellent

It works very well but after the first couple of uses it stopped making the bleeping noise when the required temperature is achieved. I have used other similar products and this is probably the best.
