Finally found the battery I needed - it worked, tool doesn't
The seller was great, the battery was the exact type (6v J type) the electronic display for my 1980's craftsman band saw. However, the board for the display must be fried, so even though the batter is just what I needed, and I was grateful to find it through Amazon because no local stores carry this, it's too bad the electronics don't work - the display supposedly calibrates blade tension (important) and angle (useful but I have other ways of doing that.) Thanks anyway!
