The Hardy Boys series, first published in 1927, has sold more than 70 million copies! Now with a brand-new look, this is an edition that collectors won't want to miss! In The Tower Treasure , the first book in the incredibly popular, long-running series, Frank and Joe Hardy work together to solve a high-stakes jewel heist. A special treat for Hardy Boys fans and any reader who's new to the series! Review: the book wasGREAT - The mystery was great until the last part where the bad guys were knocked out especially Oscar Smurf. I really liked it how Oscar Smurf was not as good as two teenage boys! Review: Great rewrite of the Hardy Boys! - I was excited to stumble upon this Respun Classics rewrite of The Hardy Boys, and the difference is night and day from the very first page! In the very first sentence you can see it’s no longer just the dad who’s the detective, now the mom and dad are part of a famous detective team. It’s been a while since I read the original, so I can’t track all the changes, but it’s a book I’m genuinely happy to have my daughter read (and it’s great for boys too, of course). desertcart seems to mix all the different version of this book, so it’s not always easy to find the right one, but you'll want the Respun Classics edition for sure!

The Tower Treasure
This book in my opinion was a fun mystery to read but it had no character development at all. Nobody changed. Another issue that I had was the language. It was very old fashioned. Well it was common language for back when the book was written it's just annoying now. Also the way the police seem to know way less than the main character Is completely unrealistic. It may have been back then but now it's a lot different. I still liked it.

Amazing!
The Tower is super nice/cool. I really like this book. I can’t wait to read the next one. By my grandson, Nolan.

a cliff hanger of ole fashioned mystery at its best!
The Hardy boys set out on another of their very intriguing mysteries to find a criminal who stole a red wig that he used in a robbery from a rich estate. They assist their father who is himself a great detective and collecting all the clues and sending them to the police. The adventure has a few twist and turns that you least expect but this is indeed one of the best old-fashioned mysteries around. I have started my grandsons and granddaughters reading this series and they have loved it.

What a wonderful beginning.
Such a wonderful start to a great series! Action, intrigue, comedy and; good old fashioned detective work. Written in a simpler time. Some words could cause you shake your head. Kindly dispel the notion that this would take away from the entire experience.

“You know I don’t care to hear about these horrible things.”
I haven’t thought about the Hardy Boys in decades. I was hoping to read what would be a happy flashback to a time in my youth. But. It’s not quite the way I remember it. This time The Tower Treasure presented itself as a fascinating relic. Quaint. An ode to different time, a time that no longer exists. The dialog is stilted, the plot simplistic, and the mere mention of their mother had me confused…I don’t recall a mother being part of these books. She’s mentioned a couple of times in passing, loath to have anything to do with ‘detecting.’ Still. It had its moments; I didn’t mind reading it.

Good old-fashioned intrigue! Delightful!
There is politeness in every aspect of this familiar mystery. It was a pleasure to turn back the pages of history 90+ years and read of chums and roadsters and a dusty old mansion. If you have a fondness for days gone by and the innocent times that once were, you will love this clever story and book!

Say fellows, let's get sleuthing
I got two of these in the 70's when my parents had a old friend over from the US and they're still here (the books not the old friend) and I remember them being cracking books. So to christen the Kindle I ordered this guy, even though I'm rather older now. Fantastic book. Can't believe you can spin a plot around a red wig but there you go. Excellent. Away to buy the second one now. Not sure about the £4.79 bit for a Kindle version mind you, bit expensive perhaps, but whatever. Well worth a read.
