Pintech Percussion SILENTRIM14, Silentrim 14", Rubber Hoop Rim Trim

This head was purchased for backup purpose and I have not put in service at this time. Hoop ends appear to be cemented good and smooth. Looks very tough and appears to be made with quality.

These fit tight and work as intended.

I was given a couple of snare drums recently when a friend moved, and the one pictured had rims that actually had the rolled edge toward the head so this would not work on that rim. I was fortunate that both snares were 10 lug so I swapped rims with the other snare and made it work, but look at your rim, if the top edge doesn't roll toward the outside as opposed the the head side I would reconsider. It did work well after the rim swap, but my 2nd snare is now useless as the rim swap only worked for one drum.

Coupled with mesh drum heads (e.g., Remo SilentStroke), the Pintech rubber drum hoop cover significantly reduces the sound of your drum, converting your favorite snare drum into a practice pad. A great solution for environments where practicing on a “normal” drum is unappreciated. You can order these for any size drum. It comes as a strip, NOT a connected circle. Pintech sent me a piece that was a little long, which I assume is to account for small variations in drum rim sizes. It was a breeze to trim and install. I recommend leaving it a little long because it will settle onto the rim and the seem may separate. I really appreciate this product and so do my neighbors!

Item seems to be a good product, but WILL NOT fit onto triple flanged or die cast hoops. Would probably be OK for single or double flanges, but I can't guarantee that. I really wanted it to fit... but it didn't.

Made from a high quality rubber that is easily trimmed to fit your drum. I used this on a DIY acoustic to electric snare conversion, and it dampens well enough to separately trigger rim and snare hits while keeping the noise down.

These seemed to fit well, but after about 10 sessions--they are falling apart. Hard to believe. I'll spin them around to get more use out of them, but I'll look elsewhere in the future.

This is an amazing product!! Get them while they have them in stock! These are for your acoustic drums that are converted to electronic drums. Great Quality too.
