The third installment of Neil Gaiman's seminal series, THE SANDMAN VOL. 3: DREAM COUNTRY, celebrates its 30th anniversary with an all-new edition! The third book of the Sandman collection is a series of four short comic book stories. In each of these otherwise unrelated stories, Morpheus serves only as a minor character. Here we meet the mother of Morpheus's son, find out what cats dream about, and discover the true origin behind Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream. The latter won a World Fantasy Award for best short story, the first time a comic book was given that honor. Collects THE SANDMAN #17-20. Review: Just a masterpiece - Better and better the story gets each time I read it. Pick up new details or things in the art or whatever but definitely one of the most original, important and great pieces of literature ever. One of my favorites as a complete collection and the fact its lasting shows it's a great with the audible productions of these tales and the Netflix series. Review: The great storytelling continue - Until this point, all the Sandman volume keep being worth reading they keep being precious, original and so much artistic. The philosophical in deep of every volumen and the world building is so amazing. If you already read the other two volumes you MUST read this one too.

An interesting collection of short stories
I have this four stars because I feel like not all of the stories were at the same level. Some were definitely better and flashed out the Sandman universe better. To be honest, it's the last story that felt the most underwhelming. It's still food, just feels a little out of place

Vol 3 - A continuance of brilliance
Gaiman continues to remain a vanguard in the art of storytelling in Vol 3. You might enjoy trying a fun exercise of reading Sandman and then watching the Netflix series for an interesting approach. I myself, found this to be especially entertaining although as expected, the graphic novel by it’s very nature, is far more in-depth. That said, the Netflix series does an excellent job as a summarization of as well as a visual exploration into Dream’s kingdom - I urge everyone to experience both and benefit from their symbiotic relationships.

Great graphic comic
I love the sandman series, for a comic 30 years old, the ideas and concepts still make me think.

The Sandman series is remarkable
Dream Country The four offerings in this book are each amazing in their own way. My favorite was the first one, Calliope, it is about a muse being held captive and abused horribly by writers. At the beginning of the tale, she is giving to a young writer who is suffering from writer's block. Thankfully Morpheus, one of the Endless comes at last. The second tale really got to me, A dream of a thousand cats, tells how reality was once changed and can be changed back. A midsummer's night dream is about Shakespeare's play being performed in front of the actual characters that are in the play. Of course, Dream is also there. The last tale is called Facade and tells of a woman who has been changed by the Egyptian God Ra and her struggles to survive. I love how Death shows up. Death is an amazing character and one of my favorite of the Endless. I am enjoying making my way through this Sandman series and can't wait to read the next.

Neil Gaiman is a smith of stories.
For the longest time I’ve only been familiar with the first two volumes of Sandman. I’m a fan of superheroes. This work stands out as a work of fiction in the medium of comics that transcends what you would expect of comics in the best way possible. The series itself not lacking in quality art, but it would definitely be fitting to say that the horse pulling this carriage is Gaiman as the author.

Short stories
So what would happen if you caught a muse? Or if cats could dream? A midsummer night's dream played for the fairies ? Indestructible been destroyed by its creator

I’ve always loved the sandman comics. I’ve really enjoyed reading this. Great art and great stories. Neil Gaiman’s creativity is very unique. Totally recommended!!!

Great graphic novel and original story line.
Another session in this graphic novel series, it's great as ever. However I did not think much of all the script included in this. I understand from a creative process as a writer but less so in the traditional format of comics. But you are committed to the series so you will continue.
