In-Depth Breakdown of What I Got
I recommend this product a lot and have a lot of specifics as to why: TLDR: I organized and counted all the cards. I got 1029 cards, not just 1000. Other reviews make it seem like there are hundreds of the same card, and there are not. If you're looking to collect I'd say this is a good deal, as you could sell any repeats. If you're looking to build decks, I 100% recommend this for you, regardless of if you're looking to build commander or standard decks. The only data I didn't gather is about rarity, since I bought these as a player and not a collector. A lot of people on here complain about a lot of repeated cards, so I was skeptical to buy this when i did. They made it seem like there were 200 of the same card in each pack. This is not the case! I enjoy organizing and wanted to make sure I got my money's worth, so I sorted through all the cards and counted how many cards there were of each color, how many cards were repeated & how many times, how many foil's there were, and how many Lands was included. I put it in a spreadsheet and posted a picture of it as part of this review, but wanted to make a couple notes. 1. there were more than 1000 cards in the box. Part of the reason I sorted through them all was to make sure I got the 1000 i paid for, turns out they put extras in too! (if you were wondering this deal of $20/1000 cards means you're spending about $0.02/per card, or 2 cents/card, which is an amazing deal in my opinion.) with the extra cards it comes out to even less than 2cents per card. 2. The most of 1 single card that there was, was 9 cards, and that was only the case for 2 different cards ("Dutiful Return" sorcery & "War Mammoth" summon mammoth). Most of the cards were not repeated more than 2 - 4 times, and many of them were just single cards. This spreadsheet shows that 632 of the cards were a repeat of another card so, since there were 1029 cards in the box, there were 397 different cards, many of those having no repeats, or just 1-2 repeats to them. 3. the cards are in phenomenal condition and are a from a variety of different times, some older cars, and some that seem brand new, all in good condition. 4. was delivered on time, and the package was in good condition as well. 5. Since they are random there was not the same number of each color of card. The box I got had a lot of Black cards and not as many colorless. this also means the number of foils could fluctuate too. My box had 52, but yours may have more or less. 6. There were only 7 land included in the whole box, and each was non-basic. I count this as a win, since buying 1,000 cards, just to end up getting 500 lands would kind of be a let down, plus you can buy Basic Lands for pretty cheap elsewhere. Overall, 1000% recommend this as a purchase, whether you're just starting, have been playing for a while, or are collecting. Enjoy the spreadsheet and if you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer. I haven't found any downsides to this purchase because, especially since it was actually legit (which surprised me a bit). Notes: For people who dislike repeat cards : 1) I'm assuming you're just a collector and not a player because being able to put the same card in 2 or 3 different decks and not have to switch them around a lot is really nice. 2) Also if you're trying to make a standard deck repeat cards can be really nice, and if you were thinking of buying this to make commander decks; I haven't done it yet, but i could probably make at least 5 different good commander decks (which need 100 individual cards, no repeats) About the Data: 1) The only data I didn't gather is about rarity, since I bought these as a player and not a collector. 2) The SL boxes in the spreadsheet are "special Land" meaning non-basic, I wanted to see how many there were of each color; so i didn't count the Land section of the spreadsheet in my calculations. I just kept the Land section to show specifically how many there were included, overall. So I didn't double count any cards, i made sure of that since i didn't want to get ripped off. 3) Yes, it did take me a LOOOOOONG time to get and compile all this data. I hope you enjoy it and that it helps.

Great Product for the Price
Hello everyone, This is going to be a long review but if you bare with me you are bound to find some useful information. :P I purchased this item from +EV GAMES for $13.98. I want to start off by saying this is an overall great product for your money if you are interested in building a wide variety of decks or if you just like to collect cards. Be warned that if you are intersted in only getting newer edition cards than this product is probably not for you. Around half of the cards I received were older edition cards that had the white rim around them, so 1995-2000 area. The other half ranged all the way up to 2015 however. Listed below is what my mystery box contained. Basic Lands = 0 Special Lands = 4 Multicolors = 14 Artifacts (Colorless) = 28 Blue = 163 Red = 166 Green = 175 White = 272 Black = 344 Total = 1,166 Cards. As you can see above I received a WHOPPING 166 extra cards with my purchase and I also received a fairly well distributed amount of each color card. This is awesome, however this is not without its downfalls. My package contained MULTIPLE duplicates. The duplicates were actually so bad at some points that I counted up to FOURTY of the same exact card. I had a few other cards that I counted up to twenty and thirty, and a bunch that I counted up to be between five and ten. This was a bummer, but considering I received an extra 166 cards it made up for it. I say this because even with all of these duplicates, out of 1,166 cards I was bound to receive a decent individuals (which I did). Lastly, all of the cards were in I would say an 8/10 condition except for one. There were about ten to twenty that had stamps or marks on them from game stores, and I also received two in Spanish. But overall, for all of those cards to be in good condition I am very impressed! As mentioned at the beginning of my review, if you are looking for some extra cards here and there to help customize your decks, you are bound to find something useful with this purchase. I'm a beginner in the game of Magic so this package deal is going to come in quite handy for me. I know I was weary about purchasing this product until I read some of the other reviews, so I hope my review could have helped some of you guys! ~Trevor

You'll get 1000 cards, but...
So, the one thing that does hold up about this product is that you DO get 1000 cards and they are technically magic: the gathering cards, but they are NOT what you expect nor want. I have ordered 3 different orders of this product, 2 for myself and 1 for a friend, and they all have nearly 6-20 duplicates of every card. That itself is somewhat frustrating because, (assuming about an average of 10 duplicates of each card), you are only actually getting about 100 different cards. Moreover, the majority of these cards are VERY old. None of these cards will be legal for tournament usage, which is ok for me, but in the 1000 cards you get TOKENS and worse, PROMOTIONAL CARDS. In each order there were filler token and promotional cards which are NOT real cards. There was nearly 20 in each order and, admittedly, out of a 1000 that doesn't seem bad but those are not real cards. It is very frustrating. The best you will get out of these 1000 cards is an uncommon so don't bother hoping to get something good out of this "deal". Just get booster packs. EDIT: Thought I'd add on to this review a little bit in light of recent events with customer support. Let me be clear, I've ordered this product twice now, the first time I ordered two and the second time I ordered 1. The first time, my product was nearly a week late because the package got lost which wasn't too bad, they added in a few rares however the problems originally stated still plagued the product. However, this third time, the product was on time but I got way too many tokens and such and instead of helping, apologizing, or compensating, the customer support team decided to argue with me that, even though the product wasn't as advertised, it was still worth the price I paid for it. Never once did they offer any sort of apology, etc. They simply questioned my review and proceeded to try to convince me that, even though they didn't hold up their end of the bargain, that the product was STILL worth the price. Pathetic. Please, if you want to buy cards in bulk, buy it from someone else. You'll be much better off.

many cards, great condition, many duplicates
I bought this just for fun figuring it would contain many cards I didn't own as I haven't been buying cards recently. I got over 1000 cards of which 492 were unique. There was a small batch of 4th ed. italian cards stuck at the end of the box. I didn't include those in these calculations. There was a single basic land, 859 common cards and 187 uncommon cards. Around half of the cards were from Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, and Dragon's Maze. As noted, there were no rares, and no cards of any significant value. The program I used to catalog the cards indicated it would cost over $150 to buy these cards individually online although that's probably not a great estimate of it's worth. Since I haven't been buying cards overwhelmingly these cards were new to me so from the at perspective I would call this box a good value... for me. I would really only suggest this box for people who haven't been collecting and want to just get a whole bunch of cards to sort through... or maybe for someone younger and you just want to jump start their collection and get them cards that a dog could chew up and no tears would need to be lost. The very definition of "You get what you pay for".
As what comes in this lot depends entirely on who packs it, reviews that don't identify the seller are pretty useless. I purchased this lot from "Untap-Upkeep-Draw". I received approximately 1013 cards. 9 packs of between 99 and 103 common cards each and 2 packs of 50 uncommons. The majority of the commons were from the most recent block "Born of the Gods". Pros: -80% of the Commons and 50% of the commons are recent enough to be standard legal. This was a very nice surprise -95% of the cards were in mint or very-good condition and the rest -while varied- are still playable. -$15 shipped is not much for 1000 magic cards. Cons -90% common cards -Lots of duplication and it seemed that the more of a card there were, the worse it was. I received 525 different cards. I went through the duplicates and after keeping 4 of each card, I put the rest of each duplicated card aside. I ended up with a box of 220 cards that were the 5th or more of a given card. -Even common cards have their uses, but as expected alot of near-useless cards in here. Buy this if you: -Are playing VERY casual magic with your friends -Are new to the game and just want to see some magic cards you might not have seen before -Want some fodder for casual pauper magic. -Would enjoy having 1000 cards show up at your doorstep for not much more than the cost of shipping. Avoid this product if you: -Are playing even remotely competitively -Have specific card needs -Already own more than 1000 cards. You probably already have enough semi-useful commons in your collection. Conclusion: I'm a relatively new magic player with only about 1-2000 cards in my collection who plays fairly casual magic with friends. There's definitely A few things in here that I will use, but I think even with less cards, a "Deckbuilders Tooklit" is a much better investment for the new player. Still, I enjoyed seeing some cards I wasn't familiar with and it's nice to have a box of cards I can let my friends take from at will. The "It's Ok" label for 3 stars perfectly fits this product. Three stars should not be seen as a slight on the seller who gave prompt shipping and very good service. It's just that the product itself is a truly middle-of-the road offering that neither disappoints nor excites.

Great for M.T.G. beginners to get started!!!
I purchased this for my daughter who wanted to build her own playable decks. I purchased the three items that are stated to be most frequently purchased together. There were a lot of duplicates in the 1078 cards I got but because this is a game that involves trading & collecting my daughter was very happy! I had a friend that is very knowledgeable about " Magic The Gathering Game" look over everything I purchased & he said I got a very good deal, he also explained that duplicates are not necessarily a bad thing whether using them in play or having them for " Trading" purposes. He also pointed out that the cards that were most duplicated were good strong cards that work well when played together. He basically said whoever put these cards together knew what they were doing! I told him what I had paid for the three recommended card selections & asked " Did I do good?" He responded " Yes most definitely, as a matter of fact not only can your daughter build multiple playable decks, she got some very strong cards! As a matter of fact I'm a bit jealous!" This may not be the most exciting bulk supply of cards for a very experienced player but for some one like my daughter who is just getting into the game It allowed her to build multiple playable decks of all colors!!! Please keep in mind that I did purchase the 3 products most frequently purchased together. That being " The 1000+ Bulk magic the Gathering cards", " The 100 Rare/ Uncommon M.T.G. Cards" & " The 500 Basic land cards- 100 of each land type". I apparently scored big time on my purchased of 20 sided dice as my friend enviously said " Wow...Those are 1st generation M.T.G. Dice!" I also learned that I indeed got a great deal for my purposes as a " Fat Pack" cost as much as I spent on the 3 frequently purchased together items & the 20 sided dice!!! While I might not have gotten my daughter any " Mythic Rare's" or " Plains Walkers" to make up for the duplications in the 100 Rare & Uncommon purchase I got 101 cards all Rare & Uncommon with the bonus card being a valuable card. Since M.T.G. is a game that involves collecting & trading the duplicates don't bother me a bit especially when my friend explained that the duplicates we got were strong cards & cards designed to be played together. This frequently purchased together suggestion really helped me a 50 year old guy that knows very little about M.T.G. help my daughter get a big jump start in the game allowing her to build multiple playable decks of every color & kind!!! This made her very happy, which made me very happy!!!

Underwhelmed
Unfortunately, this box was trash. Not very many commanders, not many great dupes. In this particular box, I had dupes of 50-100+ copies. The 50 copies, sure. I get it. But to have more than double that is insane. I’d rather have 1k cards that are cheap fillers for my decks than less than half that being generally usable and the other half either banned from most formats or useless amounts of copies I can’t even sell. C**.
great product for what it is.
I feel the need to write a review on this perhaps my insight will be unique. I just got into magic and came from Yugioh. we all know to play yugioh you need the cards and cant use proxies or ocg cards and it can get expensive building meta decks to compete. Now, starting over with magic, I had nothing to play with or make decks. I quickly learned and figured out how to make proxies and they can be used because the cards in general for magic are far more expensive. Well, you could use basic lands if you have them, but the cost is higher. why not use a bunch of bulk cards? well this is where this comes in. so many people here are complaining about dupes. guys its a bulk pull what do you expect? I bought this for proxies and I think its an amazing deal. If you are buying this to pull some amazing cards and build some powerful decks you are looking for the wrong product.
