First off this guitar finish is plain Ash stained dark grey. If you want a rockstar looking finish this is not it. The finish is exactly what I wanted personally. You could be underwhelmed by the finish if that's not your thing. The good- Fret work was flawless. Right out of the box the guitar was set up very well. I already had a set of Black Winter's I planned to put in it before I purchased. The JB-59 was actually surprisingly good. I play Death/Black metal so JB/59 I never even considered. I did change them out. I would give them a try though even if you don't think they are your thing. I really have nothing negative to say about the guitar. The finish like I said may underwhelm some. This was my first made in Mexico. I would have no concerns about getting another. My Indo Jackson was also very well done. The locking tuners I also had plans to replace. They work perfectly though and left them on. The bridge is very similar to a hipshot and is comfortable. All around I am very happy with this guitar. Oh yeah the Ash body, maple neck and ebony fretboard combine for some gnarly sound. I had to cut back on my gain a bit even with the JB. That's a good problem in my book. This guitar is a 5/5 for a mid level guitar \m/.
