Purchased the cater M60502 fuel pump it does not work with a 1987 Crusader 454 the pushrod does not engage the pump arm.

Marine BB Chevy fuel pump by OEM supplier Carter, at significant savings over dealer pricing. Direct replacement for Crusader. Screw configuration would not allow port reorientation to Mercruiser applications. In salt water applications needs to be painted. Vender communication and customer service excellent. Buy with confidence.

Returned part?
Bought two of these and one was opened prior to receiving it with grease on it and no gasket. I assume it was a return. They were also both different. Neither worked due to input/output variance from the original - my fault as this clearly showed in the picture. Ended up buying two other fuel pumps which worked great.

Fit perfect
It was exactly as described.

1 of 2 did not work
I bought 2 of these pumps for replacements on my boat 1 worked perfectly the failed out of the box. Unfortunately by the time I realized the pump was not working properly the 30 day return period had passed. Not happy with a 50% failure rate obviously Carter is not doing much qc. Beware!
