The replacement batteries for the Tripp-Lite Uninterruptible Power Supply were ...
The replacement batteries for the Tripp-Lite Uninterruptible Power Supply were very difficult to install. The old batteries would not come out of the case - they were constrained by the cables attached to them. After removing two screws so that the case could be separated into its two halves, even that could not be accomplished. Finally I determined that a label stuck into the bottom of the battery compartment was holding the two halves together, so I snaked a blade into the compartment (past the overlapping edges of the two pieces) to cut that label, enabling the case to be opened. From that point removal of the old batteries, detachment of the cabling, and replacement with the new batteries was straightforward, but there certainly needs to be something in the user’s manual indicating that the case cannot be opened as configured for original shipment.

Don't Throw Away Your Old UPS!! Replace Its Batteries and Save!
I own a Tripp-Lite OmniVS1000 ups. Works great, and I would buy more Tripp-Lite products in the future. Now, something you need to know about UPSes is that their batteries degrade over time (around 3 years or so) and have to be replaced. If you go over to Tripp-Lite's home page (google it), click on "Products" and then "UPS Replacement Batteries". Find your make and model of UPS, then copy/paste the battery part number in Amazon's search bar, and order it! Be certain to order the correct quantity, because some UPSes (like my VS1000) require TWO batteries.Replacing the batteries is a snap, but I recommend having a "needle-nose pliers" on hand to wrangle the spade/lug wiring connectors. It'll take you maybe ten minutes to replace the batteries, five minutes with practice. Then, plug the UPS into the wall WITHOUT any load for 12 hours to give it a chance to fully charge up the new batteries. Then you're good to go.

Get two if your unit needs them
I took one star off, just cause.Nowhere in the amazon writeup, or my Tripp Lite documentation, did it say that I needed two batteries for my Trip Lite model. Didn't realize it until I went to change the battery.Ordered the second one, and together they took care of the battery problem.

Like the original
Had to replace the battery set on my Tripplite UPS. After more than 3 years of continuous flawless usage, suddenly it would randomly shut down PC. I discovered this was due to the UPS batteries which seemed depleted. The original replacement set cost over $80 when the unit as new cost something like $120. However I found this offer from Amazon for about $56. Stated original replacement for my UPS model.I ordered. It arrived in approx 1 week. Swapped the batteries with the new ones and my Tripplite UPS works again like new :) Very happy with my purchase.

Easy to replace old battery
At first I thought the back up battery for my computer was shot, then I called customer service and they said that it is simple to replace the battery and that you need to do this about every three years or so. Since my original battery lasted well over 7 years I did quite well they said. On line I purchase through Amazon and the product arrived as promised and quickly. Opening the case was easy and the whole process took under 10 minutes. I let it charge over night and now I am back in business.

Great price, works the same
The annoying beep coming from my office started to get on my nerves. Replacing my desktop's battery backup and power regulator was due. I didn't know, until ordering and receiving the battery, that my unit required two batteries. This was the second to make a pair and a successful power setup. I can't stress the importance of having a power regulator for sensitive and expensive computer equipment and tv's. Just had a friend who had her expensive flat screen TV blown out by a power surge.

TRIPP LITE BATTERIES (A GREAT PRODUCT
FOR YEARS I HAD A TRIPP LITE BATTERY UNIT TO NOT ONLY PROTECT MY COMPUTER EQUIPMENT BUT TO ALSO ALLOW ME TO EXECUTE A NORMAL SHUTDOWN IN THE EVENT OF A POWER OUTAGE. AFTER SEVERAL YEARS THE BATTERIES FINALLY GAVE OUT AND I HAD TO REPLACE THEM. REPLACING THEM WAS SIMPLE AND EASY TO DO. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS UNIT AND ASSOCIATED BATTERIES FOR PROTECTING YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT TO EVERYONE THAT HAS A COMPUTER...

Tripp Lite battery replacements did not work for me.
There were no instructions with the two batteries, so I hooked them up in series like I remember the expired batteries were. They wouldn't completely fit in the Trip Lite UPS enclosure when wired, even with some plastic trimmed away. But they were wired correctly and the unit would not turn on or charge the batteries with repeated efforts. I finally gave up. The new batteries were recycled at Batteries Plus and the Tripp Lite unit was trashed. I'm not sure exactly what the problem was (wrong batteries?) but my patience was exhausted. I concluded that I really didn't need another battery backup and just used a power cord with surge protection.
