Mega Full Thickening Lotion

I really like what this does for my hair. I use it in conjunction with the "Garnier Hair Care Fructis Ends Plumper, Visibly Fuller/Thicker Ends, 4.2 Fluid Ounce" that is also available on Amazon, you can see my similar review on that product. This product doesn't give you suddenly huuuuge hair so set your expectations appropriately. I have very thin straight blonde hair. it's very VERY smooth, no texture, so getting body in my hair is hard. Yay i have smooth hair! but it's very flat and sad with no product. I have used so so many thickening/texturing products and this is the only one that has been good. it's not sticky at all and adds a noticeable amount of body. so this one I follow the instructions, squirt a bunch throughout my hair and run my fingers through to spread it out a bit, then add to the ends plumper to the mids/ends of my hair, and to boost my roots more I add mousse to my roots, and blow dry with a round brush. This also really extends my washes, I can easily go 4 days without getting oily. If I don’t use this product I get oily much faster.

Only odd thing first: different places have different directions on how to use. Some say apply mid shaft to ends only. Others say apply at roots a comb through to ends. Just used for first time. Bought it because has “acrylates” which give hair grip and volume in my experience. Very very Hard to find styling products containing them. I applied this spray roots to ends and that seems right for me. This is one of two of the best effective thickening grippy styling products I have found after 45 year period of looking, finding, and then dealing with nonsensical discontinuations. This product seemed as was going to be sticky as I applied. It dried beautifully smooth, weightless, allowed my hair to shine, has grip, imparted body and really helped plump difficult crown area. No stickiness. What I don’t know yet is how long I’ll have these results but I’m hoping two full days. Also don’t know how cleanly it will shampoo out. I didn’t spray it onto my hair—I never squirt or spray anything onto my head because I can’t tell how much I’m applying. I always put in my hand and work it onto my hair. Always. I’m anticipating this will pass the endurance and clean questions for me and become my main mane mist. Can’t believe it’s been lurking for years and we only now have connected!! Thanks Garnier!

LOVE this new product combo! (thickening lotion with root plumper) I have always had relatively thick hair in general, but the volume is mostly at the bottom. And since I had to start wearing my hair up for work, I noticed some thinning at the roots, especially in the back crown area where I tie my ponytails/buns. Even before then, it just always fell flat at the roots, no matter how I style or what products I use. Drugstore, Sephora, Curling irons, curling wands, 3-in-1 heat stylers, texture cream, wave spray, dry shampoo, volumizing shampoo... I couldn’t keep volume at the roots to save my life. I had kinda given up, and figured I would need to have the hair dresser use thinning sheers on the lower half of my hair so that the top would look more volumized. But I hated the idea of thinning out my hair too much! It’s like throwing away a gift! So I figured I would give this product a try. I’ve used it twice so far by spraying all over damp hair generously. I work it through, hit it with the root plumping mousse, and dry/style it with a large round heat tool. Not sure if it’s the lotion or root spray, but this combo does add a GOOD amount to drying time, and too much root spray will give you white residue and make your hair literally feel like glue til it’s fully dry. I love that the product continues working days after using it! Just de tangle and hit it with your heat tool, and it’s good to go! It smells fresh, clean, and girly without being too overpowering, and you seriously can’t beat the price! Makes for luxurious volume in all hairstyles - straight to curly, ponytails and messy buns. I absolutely love it!

I have very fine hair & this gives my hair the feeling of fullness & volume. The style lasts a little longer than it would normally. I have been using this for a few years & absolutely love it. It smells good & isn't sticky. Great product & worth the price.

This is somewhat effective as it does add some volume but it’s also a little sticky so I haven’t used it much. Easy to use.

I found this thickening lotion a few years ago and can't live without it now. I have VERY fine hair and this really gives me some volume/thickness. It also helps my hair to curl and hold curl better. I don't spray it on my hair though. I spray about 8 pumps into the palm of my hand and rub my hands together and apply it like you would mousse. I feel that I have more control of where it goes this way and it gets to the underside of my hair better. I also like that this is not expensive. So many hair things are so expensive and most of the time don't even work they way they advertise that they will. This one does what it says.

Garnier usually doesn’t disappoint with their hair product. With a very little application it gives a full effect volume. Product is pricey but is worth every penny. I use mine daily as I’ve got short hair but is an amazing addition to my hair care and styling.

It is definitely one of the game-changing hair products I know and I have repurchased it several times. I would spray it on wet or damp hair roots and brush/shag it around with my fingers. Once dry, the hair gets much fuller and fluffier, amazing for somebody with thin hair and struggling to get volume.
