Great for Small Mold Spots and Preventative Cleaning
I picked up the Concrobium Mold Control Mold Inhibitor (Pack of 2) to tackle some small patches of microbial growth around my property, and it worked really well for what I needed. I wasn’t facing a major mold problem, just a few areas that needed cleaning and treatment, and this product handled those spots without any issues. It applies easily and feels safe to use, and I appreciated that it didn’t leave behind a harsh chemical smell. After treatment, the areas looked noticeably better, and the surfaces stayed cleaner compared to spots I hadn’t treated yet. For light contamination and preventative upkeep, it performed exactly the way I hoped.Of course, this isn’t a miracle fix for serious mold problems. If you’re dealing with anything behind walls, in ventilation, or anything widespread, you’ll absolutely want a professional to handle it. This product is best suited for surface-level cleanup and maintenance — not full remediation.Overall, Concrobium Mold Control did exactly what I needed: it cleaned up the small patches I found and gave me confidence that I’d addressed those areas properly. If you’re looking for something safe and effective for minor mold or microbial growth, it’s a solid option.

So glad I found this!
I had a musty smell coming from a closet that had had a leak. I wanted to kill the mold on the floor and walls but I didn't want to kill myself in the process with a toxic product. Even chlorine bleach is toxic in the environment, despite its being commonly found in most homes.Based on other reviews, I decided to try this and I am very happy that I did. The closet it now clear of the musty smell and I used it in the shower stall next. Mind you, this will not give the immediate gratification that bleach would. It does NOT bleach out the mold stain and it does not claim to. It is killing the spores, which is the most important part. Remove the stain using another method, which may involve a 10% bleach solution in water. (I know. The frustration of it all.) Check other sources, such as Pinterest, for ideas. Do not be disappointed that this product does not do it. This allows it to be used on surfaces that would be harmed by bleach, such as, fabrics, furniture, carpeting, car interiors. In fact, I ordered some for my sister who has a car that got wet inside and now is musty. I am confident that this product, along with copious amounts of fresh air, will solve the problem.Everyone has mold somewhere in their environment. Try this. You will, no doubt, be happy you did. I am. Can you make it cheaper, as suggested by another reviewer? It is not worth it for me to try that. This is cheap enough.Mold is a challenging environmental problem that has a huge impact on human health - more than people realize. I am just happy that there is a product like Concrobium that allows me to control it in a non-toxic way.

Works as described, inhibits mold spores.
There is lots of misinformation out there about mold. In a nutshell, this is the way I understand it:1) Mold is an organism that needs moisture and darkness to survive (like plants, only mold needs the opposite of sunlight)2) Mold spores are what most people are allergic to3) Mold spores are everywhere, but will only become live/grow with water and darkness4) So mold spores can sit and wait in a dry, light environment for years (like plant seeds)5) Wiping mold with bleach and a sponge will cause the live mold to die, but the tiny mold spores will fly around into the air and find another place to hideout6) "Encapsulating" mold spores is one of only a few ways to prevent mold spores from growingThis product will immobilize the mold spores. If you want to get rid of discoloration from live mold, your best bet is to clean with bleach first and THEN apply this product to lock down remaining spores in the area. This product works exactly as intended, but will leave some surfaces a bit tacky (it leaves a coating); it's the nature of how it controls future mold. IMHO, it is not great at cleaning the surface of live mold, but it will stop further progress.Bottom line: use this for locking down spores and inhibiting/preventing growth... use an additional product to clean live mold and related staining. Also, eliminate the source of moisture (very important) and add light to the area.

It works great
This is my go-to spray for musty drawers and closet corners. Pull out all the bureau drawers, spray them thoroughly and let dry completely. You will have no more odor.

Spray nozzle always fails
I've bought this product several times, and the product itself is fine. But every time I buy a new bottle, the spray pump fails, usually within about ten to twenty pumps. Fortunately, unlike other products, you can unscrew the top and pour the product into a secondary, reliable spray bottle. When I'm done, I pour the liquid back into the original bottle for storage and run water into the secondary bottle to clean it out.

The go to product for mitigation professionals
I am IICRC certified in water restoration and mold remediation. I do insurance estimating and project management for mitigation and repair work. Concrobium is one of the benchmark chemicals and brands used in this industry. I use this spray bottle one for the temporary office we have set up in the wake of Helene. Older building and the basement brick wall get mold growth due to the water table, ground water intrusion, and simply the age of the property. This product is great for spot treating light to medium discoloration. Bleach is of course very effective but can stain and leave behind a lingering smell. This product does not. I use it to treat and wipe down the walls once a month. This is not a permanent solution or will be effective against stopping recurring growth and or excessive growth. You will need commercial grade quantities and proper drying and abatement to remove mold/discoloration permanently along with reducing the amount of relative humidity in the air IE you may need to install a permanent dehumidifier and or air scrubber.I also use this to spray down my work clothes if i’ve been in a very dirty job site or a hot messy job site that’s full of mud, downed trees, etc. This will help prevent clothes from having that weird body odor smell even after cleaning in the washing machine. I also use it on my work shoes. There’s nothing fancy or special about this product. It’s just consistent and you know what you are getting. I am sure you pay more just based on the brand but the brand is iconic in my industry for a reason. It’s because it has decades of service in water and mold restoration projects. We would also use this with a viruscide product and deodorizer and cold fog commercial spaces during 2020.

Might as well spray water
I have mold growing in my room walls because it was too humid and the cold on the walls made it worse. I got this despite the negative reviews and hoped things had changed since then but not at all. As others have said, this product is clear and scentless. I sprayed it on my walls which are made of plaster and waited. At first there was no change. After 5 mins, still absolutely no change so I sprayed more. Then I waited the suggested 30mins-1 hour. After all that time the walls looked exactly the same so I figured maybe scrubbing it would break up and get rid of the mold. I scrubbed with both a soft sponge and a bristle brush and that did something but not much. The mold stains were still there. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten the same exact results if I had just sprayed the walls with plain water and then tried to scrub it off.Nevertheless, I kept scrubbing until most of the mold was gone though the stains were still there. At this point it I was over 4 hours into this clean up and was tired so I just figured that was the best I could achieve with this product. I sprayed bleach on the stains which of course instantly got rid of the stains. After letting that dry out completely for a few hours, I went back in with this product and sprayed the walls since it claimed to prevent the growth of mold. Well I can say with certainty that it absolutely did no such thing. It's been about a month since I did that cleaning and have made sure to be careful to not let the room get too humid. But there were a couple of nights when temperature went down to the single digits so I did not leave the window open to keep the warmth in. Well now the mold is starting to regrow. So in conclusion, I used practically the entire bottle just to spray a 1ft high by 5ft long area of wall and it did absolutely nothing. Didn't get rid of the mold and certainly did not prevent it from growing. I'm ordering cleaning vinegar and hopefully that works better than this because at this point I'm pretty sure this product is just 99.9% water. Do not waste your money.

It worked for us after a rancid flood and several carpet deodorizing just in case places
Odorless, my daughter & I purchased this because of our battle with moldy, mildewy smell. The direct effect of a toilet flood. We moved here to Michigan because the air is cleaner, people are polite and we've found the most perfect spacious home; with just so much scenry, beautiful water fowl, fishing I could go on but I won't.I'll just acknowledge that I've been blessed😇After the flood😷 sigh! We had the rugs deodorized twice. We diffused essential oil, dropped oil droplets into vents. We bought so many cleaning products-- Bleach, air freshers & plenty of home remedies from friends. Finally, my daughter took to one of her better qualities [besides being an excellent life coach, Super Hero daughter etc.] Researching! She found this product. We used it liberally. It warns "Do NOT use on fabrics." I did🙄🤨🤔even without testing. We were just at the end of all hope. Frustrated, irritated almost hopeless. We bought the mold & mildew spray not the "test your areas for mold & 9•5x's the test would prove yes at certain degrees. Yes, she and I lived in it! Test proven.🤔There weren't any crystals so, I gather no extremely dangerous mold & mildew. I continued to use this product not sure if it was working? However, it was working. For the first time in weeks we were able to breathe Inhale Exhale & all seemed back to normal. Just a clean ordinary scent however I kept spraying in crevices just to be sure. I also took it to the kitchen area treated the things I thought might pick up mold because of where we live.I found a pair of sandals in the bottom of a storage closet.Mold on important tax papers (which we immediately threw out certain our preparer had copies of a 6 or 7th yr package filled with paper.) The yellow leather sandals were covered in mold I didnt want to throw them away so I clean them and sprayed them until wet put them out on the porch a few days. They're fine now just kept in protective wrapping when stored. So yes. I did get my money's worth plus I'm going to buy another bottle. This bottle went a long long ways. I reccomend buying this product for diy clearing away mold & mildew.
