Barilla Gluten Free Penne

My family loves this gluten free pasta. Have served it to our gluten-eating friends and family and they don't even notice the difference from normal pasta.

I’ve tried a lot of gluten-free pastas over the years, and Barilla’s Gluten Free Penne is easily one of the best. The texture is very close to traditional pasta — no mushiness or falling apart — and it holds up well in sauces or baked dishes. I’ve used it in everything from mac and cheese to cold pasta salads, and it always turns out great. Made with a mix of corn and rice, it doesn’t have that gritty or overly chewy texture that some gluten-free brands do. Even my family members who aren’t gluten-free didn’t notice a difference — and that says a lot! The pack of 8 is a good value, especially if you eat gluten-free regularly. It’s shelf-stable, cooks in about 10 minutes, and doesn’t require any special handling. Overall, this is my go-to pasta now. If you're gluten-free and tired of pasta that tastes like cardboard, give this a try. It’s a pantry staple for me now.

Second best gluten free Penne I've tried and I've tried every brand that I can find. Just cook it about a minute less than directions, two minutes less if you're serving it with a sauce such as pesto or as a salad

I am gluten intolerant but my husband is not. It is easy to have different breakfast foods as well as lunch, but we want to eat the same meal at dinner. I have tried at least 6 different brands of gluten free pasta in the last 18 months. Some I liked but my husband did not. Some he could tolerate but he didn't really like. We found the Barilla Penne in a market and he loved it. The only place I was able to find the Spaghetti was on Amazon. He really likes it, says he can't taste the difference between the gluten free and the regular. As I want both of us to enjoy our meal it is well worth the money to purchase this. I have also used this to make pasta salad for a cookout and several people asked for the recipe as they said it was better than the spaghetti salad they make or have eaten and were surprised to learn it was gluten free. I am looking forward to more Barilla products.

The best GF pasta. I think even Marcella Hazan would have approved. I used to always use Tinkyada. The pasta would often stick and clump no matter what I did while cooking it. Once cooked, it had to be rinsed. Which left me with cold pasta that I had to put back on the eye to hear back up. Still, it was acceptably pasta and allowed me to make Marcella Hazan recipes again. Husband came home a couple of months ago with a box of this Barilla GF pasta. He said he saw it in the grocery store & why not try it. I tried it. Wow. It's very close to REAL gluten pasta. It doesn't clump when cooking. It doesn't have to be rinsed. Great flavor. I order it in cases from amazon.com now. If you have to eat GF and love pasta, run don't walk to your one-click order button:)
