Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi, Titan

Purchased the Vertuo Plus to replace my 4 year old Vertuo Next that sprung a leak and I’m thrilled with my choice. I prefer its easy to open top and hotter brew which improves the flavor of my coffee.

I fell in love with this coffee machine after using it at my son’s house. I soon ditched my Moccamaster and got my own Nespresso! I haven’t looked back. This machine is AMAZING. It makes coffee rich and creamy. I could drink it all day! I did try the refurbished version first, but that didn’t work out. I returned it and got a brand new one. Well worth it. Get this, you will be happy.

This machine is great. I drink 2 cups of coffee every day. It’s so easy to use. I also use a frother to heat the milk and make foam.

I read all the reviews about this leaking or or breaking but it has been an absolute pleasure to own for the first month. We recently got back from a Europe vacation and this type of coffee maker was prevalent and we knew we had to get one. Stronger and better tasting coffee all around. No leaks or problems so far (knock on wood). The best thing I found was to buy the initial order of coffee pods and save the aluminum pods that make your favorite amount of coffee (the capsules are coded to use whatever amount of water that pod uses (usually the larger pods use the maximum amount of coffee) and buy the refill kit that stamps a new seal on the old capsule filled with your favorite coffee brand. It's time consuming but a great money saver and it still makes the crema froth om top! We bought the model with the titan water container to keep from filling so much but it's really not a big deal. I don't write a lot of reviews so that tells you how good I think this coffee maker is. The strength of coffee is so much better than the drip makers because it spins the capsule while the water is injected into the pod during the brewing cycle. It is not too loud or too bulky at all and it's so easy to use. The italian machines with the crank on handle and high pressure probably make even better coffee but at the expense of more cleanup afterwards. Don't hesitate if you're thinking of buying this coffee maker!

Highly enjoyable coffee with foam. Totally worth the purchase. A wonderful treat in the morning, after lunch or any time of day. The machine works great and the coffee is delicious.

After owning this machine for 3 months, the light on the machine turned red/green. I researched this and found it is a descaling warning, that the system needs to run a descaling cycle soon or it will stop making coffee. I bought the official Nespresso descaler mix because I found they use a specific acid, and third party descalers may have higher acidity and damage the seals in the machine. After running the descaling mode, the light was still on. I saw many people have this problem and the solution was to run the cycle again, and then run a rinse cycle, and make sure you exit the descaling mode before the machine goes to sleep to clear it. It didn't work. I tried another descaling with the other packet I had, and then ran another rinse cycle. It didn't work. Calling Nespresso support, they told me to run another descaling cycle. I told them I've already run two and if it needs more than 2 packets every 3 months, I'm not interested in continuing to use this product. They said there was no way to get it out of descaling mode and I'd just need to keep running the descaling cycle until it turns off. I'm outside of my return window, so I'll be throwing the machine away and getting a different machine.

Gave this machine as a gift to a discriminating coffee drinker. . Recipient seems happy with it, used the included coffee samples ans said that coffee was very good.

Do NOT buy this machine.... after a few mere months, the brew head is leaking all over and Nespresso's customer service is totally lousy... I spent an hour with the technical specialist to run all kinds of tests - to no avail, end result = defective. Ok, fine, under warranty... I was promised a box delivered to my house within 24 hours for me to bring the machine to Canada Posts. 2 days later, no box.... callied back: getting the round around and told to call back later as they are too busy. They 'cannot' return call, and they 'cannot' leave a message to whoever is responsible to mail said box... It's a defective machine, under warranty....this is my 2nd and LAST Nespresso machines. The other one barely lasted 2 years. Do know that if you buy via Amazon - you are stuck to deal with Nespresso, you cannot return it to Amazon.

I got one cup of coffee out of this machine before it started to leak. Sent it back. Very disappointing. I’ll have to stay with my Kurig machine.
