My old one said SP and I purchased this SPX and it works. **Q: is it 5" x 8.5" ?** A: the SPX1082K Weir is 7 3/4" x 5 3/8". **Q: Does the foam insert come with the weir** A: Mine did not and I didn’t know it should have. And I can’t find just the foam insert. So I got screwed. **Q: These have tabs at the pivot point that pop into holes in the skimmer casing. Which weir has holes that mount over the round tabs on the casing?** A: The holes should be bellow the water level. Nearly impossible to see. You have to put your hand in the skimmer and “feel for it”. Once you have the new float barrier, you will see what to feel for. Its a 2min replacement, no tools needed.
