This is the second one I ordered. The one I ordered previously was "defective" - the brush and the detergent well kept falling apart - and I initially thought it was a badly executed design (and held on to it after the return date). When I could get it to stay together it was fantastic. So I went back to the item on Amazon, read the reviews and decided to order another one. This one works perfectly. I can recommend it, but if the two halves don't stay together, definitely return it and order a replacement. Hopefully, the ones that work as intended far outweigh the defective ones.

UPDATE: After just one year of use in a 2 person household, this brush broke at the plastic stem where the brush attaches to the soap dispenser. I am highly disappointed and emailed the company, who states on their website.... "At OXO, we believe in better – better design, better functionality, better experience – and that’s exactly how we make our products. I emailed them 5 days ago, and received an automated response informing me they respond to all emails within 24-48 hours. I have heard nothing further. I really like the OXO products and own a number of them, however, it they cannot resolve this to my satisfaction, they will not get another dime from me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this over 9 months ago. I have used other brands of this type of soap dispensing dish brush for years but they always seem to wear out after a period of time. After visiting my sister and seeing she had this brand, I decided to give it a try. It is a little larger than the others I had previously and so far seems to be durable. I cook a lot so this brush gets a workout multiple times each day. The only one downside is that there does not seem to be a way to regulate the amount of soap that it dispenses. It doesn't matter if you push the button gently or a good solid push, the same amount of soap comes out. And sometimes you only need a little dab, but you get a big dollop. Other than that, it is a great product and I would purchase it again.

I've been using this little brush for about a year and it's been great. I'm a fan of these small-sized palm brushes, which are easier to control with soapy hands than their long-handled cousins. The replaceable brush head is nice since I can easily remove it and run it through the dishwasher when I feel it needs a thorough sanitization. I have not had to buy a new brush head even after a year of daily use. And the brush has never accidentally fallen off during use as some other reviewers have reported. I only have 2 minor complaints: 1. The black, screw-on cap is sometimes difficult to remove. I may have accidentally overtightened it when I put it on the last time or maybe it got tighter while I was scrubbing dishes. Luckily the black cap is rubberized and so drying it and my hands provides a good enough grip to unscrew it. 2. Soap is not always dispensed when the button is pushed. I would estimate this happens 1 out of 10 button pushes. The soap dispensing function works well for the most part. Dish soap will frequently get trapped in the bristles--especially when the brush is not held perfectly vertical. This alone would not be a problem (since soap in the bristles works fine) but when combined with complaint #2 above I found that I would constantly have to flip the brush upside down to see if soap was dispensed. To alleviate this problem I like to mix dish soap and water in approximately a 1:1 ratio in the brush so that the soap is less viscous and will shoot out of the brush easier and not get caught in the bristles. If I don't see soap shoot out when I push the button, I just push it again. Soap has never leaked from the brush when not in use.

I love this brush for cleaning my pots and pans. Having the dish soap built into the brush is super convenient. The heads are replaceable when they get grungy, but it takes a long time for that to happen! I also take camping to make dishes easier! Highly recommend for every kitchen sink!

There is something about the bristles used in this brush (the hardness and stiffness) that is just right for household and kitchen use. I've tried several different (and cheaper brands), but this is in a class of its own. A previous OXO branded brush that was of an older design lasted over 14 years of daily use!!! (not purchased on Amazon.in, obviously). The bristles have remained straight and the brush has retained its shape in all these years, though the soap dispensing does not work. I'm hoping this one will be just as good, if not better.
