My favorite makeup was disccontinued about 5 years ago. I went on a quest to find a replacement, trying so many brands I lost count. None of them provided the coverage I wanted or color match. Most importantly, it is hard to find cream makeup which is what I want. Then the pandemic hit and I gave up as I wore a mask everyday due to working in public. I received this brand today and I could tell this was it! The shade Honey is a perfect match for me. It went on so smooth and I need minimal coverage. I like the fact it contains some oil. I have very dry skin so this is good for me. If you feel it is too much for you, just use a finishing powder. I have no problems with believing this will last all day, especially if you are using a finishing powder. I hope this brand will be around for a long time.

Extremely lightweight and natural. I have super sensitive skin, prone to breakouts, and I honestly haven’t broken out once from this. (I’m serious—a few hours after I have other foundations on, I gain new pimples.) The downside is that it isn’t super long-wearing. You have to be careful when applying because it’s easy to smudge off before setting it with powder. I’d also recommend using a drop of face oil when getting it out of the pan, as it can be a bit dry. This sounds like a lot of complaints, so hear me out—if you NEED makeup that’s clean, gentle, and overall very nice to your skin, ITS WORTH IT. It’s worth having to mess with a little more than an easy liquid foundation. The coverage is easily medium, but it’s also buildable. It looks like your skin but better. It covers up my scarring almost entirely with one little swipe. So the stuff is good, but if you want full glam long wear foundation, this isn’t it. If you love the natural look and want your skin to BREATHE and be healthy, I’d fully recommend.

I have slowly been switching over all my beauty to be "clean". I have tried a few other products from Honest Beauty and decided to also try out the foundation. I really love it. I know there are a few remarks regarding the application, but I'll just wash my hands, dab my finger in the foundation and dab around my face. I'll then buff the foundation all over with a flat kabuki brush. I am very fair completed with red/auburn hair. The shade works beautifully with my skin tone. I would say it has a medium coverage and a beautiful satin finish. I have been using this product for a full week and haven't had any breakouts and I have VERY acne prone and sensitive skin. If you're wanting a full coverage foundation, this is definitely build-able. I work as an event planner and just want a natural, healthy, glow for an every day look. I have been impressed with all the honest products I have tried so far and this is no different.

the foundation did not settle into your skin as much as a moisturizing foundation would. It was definitely matte possibly kind of dry. and there weren't too many foundation choices so the color choice that I had wasn't the best. This would be great for children to play around with but if you want some serious makeup or better coverage that doesn't make it look like you're in high school wearing CoverGirl then I would buy something else.

I love this foundation! It's goes on so smoothly and looks very natural. It goes on a little thick, which is good for areas that need more coverage. And it's easy to create lighter coverage by applying it with a damp makeup sponge. And it lasts all day when I set it with the Honest Beauty powder. Plus it never irritates my skin or makes me breakout. And I love this foundation so much that I've thrown out all of my other foundations, which is huge since I've been looking for just the right foundation for close to 5 years. It's nice to finally have a foundation that I love and know works well!

I’m a fan of most of the Honest Beauty products I’ve tried but this was not a good one. Tried multiple modes of application but couldn’t get it to melt into my skin or blend. Felt like cheap, old-school pan makeup. I can’t help but compare it to Bobbi Brown’s signature foundation stick. Same amount of product but half the price—just wish it preformed comparably. It has a similar herbal/lavender scent and almost the same texture but HB lacks the glow or slip of BB.

Love the color for me. Really blends w/my natural skin color and can build up coverage on my dark spots. Sometimes looked dry. Need to be sure to use a moisturizer just before applying. Lasts well. As for it sinking into lines, I just double check w/a magnifying mirror (always use) and pat those areas with my finger. Use a brush or puff to apply in "dots" over face, the blend, blend with a BRUSH for best results. Addendum: I hadn't been using for awhile, don't remember why. Tried it again today and it was great. Remember not to use too much at a time and read the directions within the product information, above. Also, use brushes. You can use your old makeup sponge to smooth over large pore sections, but fingers work too. And Remember To Follow the Directions. Small amounts. Blend, blend. Build up if needed. If it sinks into lines, I think the application was to heavy.

Coverage: Medium Finish: Natural Matte Warning(s): 1. Not Buildable - I was not able to build up the coverage on this foundation. When attempting to apply a second layer for additional coverage, the first layer of foundation just moved around or was picked up by the applicator. Applicators used: Brush, fingers and eco-tools beauty sponge. 2. Emphasized Texture - This foundation made my pores look awful, it sunk into my forehead and smile lines and looks gross on any dry patches (I tried it with an intense pore-filling primer and it didn't improve). Bottom Line: If you have perfect skin, this might work OK for you... However, why are you wasting your time and money on foundation if you have perfect skin?
