There are no RCA to HDMI and no HDMI to HDMI cables. The only cable supplied was the unit to USB port cable, which was about 3 ft long. You will need the RCA connector cables, the HDMI cable, and a power brick or electric plug for the USB, to make this work. **Q: Can you switch between 4:3 and 16:9 aspec ratio?** A: a standard analog video signal does not include information on the aspect ratio and it is very difficult, if not impossible, for an adaptor, convertor, tv or other device to guess. some digital tv's do allow easy switching between them with a button on the remote and others require digging through the settings menus to switch. more expensive convertors are able to adapt a 4:3 analog video to 16:9 with the correct settings. **Q: Can this be used to record on old dvd recorder?** A: No. This is a one way converter, RCA to HDMI.
