Algebra II For Dummies, 2nd Edition

Made Algebra Finally Make Sense! This book is amazing! I’ve always struggled with algebra, but Algebra For Dummies (2nd Edition) breaks everything down in a way that’s super easy to understand. The author explains each concept step by step and uses real examples that actually make sense — not confusing textbook jargon. It’s great for students, adults going back to school, or anyone who just wants to brush up on math skills. The practice problems are clear and really help you build confidence as you go. Honestly, this book turned something I used to dread into something I actually get now. Highly recommend it to anyone who needs help with algebra — it’s a total game-changer!

My kid's high school no longer issues take-home textbooks; the physical books stay in class, and students have access to an online version. It's pretty frustrating to use an online textbook for homework or studying, and classroom notes only go so far. This isn't as complete as a real textbook and doesn't cover things as comprehensively as a beginner or a struggling student might need, but it's a decent addendum to other learning resources. This book handled all 3 of my concerns: first, it gives my kid an opportunity to see these concepts and problems explained in a different way than what he got in school; second, it's an easy-to use reference for homework; and last, it serves as a refresher for me (his reluctant tutor who learned Algebra II many years ago). I've used other "Dummies" books in the past, and found them all decent in covering their subjects, same for this edition.

Excellent for both people reviewing the subject, (Me as a retiree volunteer for tutoring math!) , or for students taking this course for the first time. I was able to get to a very proficient level with a couple of weeks of some diligent, and not painful, study. Author has as excellent way of explaining difficult subjects in a straight forward and clear manner.

Very approachable book. Covers all algebraic methods in details. An excellent read as a refresher of your high school knowledge. The number of exercises is limited though, so if one really wants to master all presented techniques, it is advisable to purchase also the complimentary workbook.

Although it contains a lot of Algebra problems, it will never replace a school textbook. I thought by purchasing this I would save money and able to pass the exam, But, it left out some subject matter and did not fully prepare me. I had to go to another site to purchase Algebra II textbook by Glencoe.

Great book. I needed algebra 2 review for an admission exam into my science grad school (have been out of school for over 10 years) and this was the perfect way to learn and understand the concepts. I was hung up on logarithms until this book made it so simple. Passed the exam easily. Would definitely recommend.

Good book for Algebra II.

I learned Algebra 2 from this book and it wasn't that hard. It was nice, fun and fast, but if you are trying to learn in 2 weeks like me, it can be boring from time to time, but if you do it regularly and for a long time. I don't think it will a problem for you.
