The idea is pretty straightforward, it's a towel ring. So what about the details? First off, I could find only two similar all-wood rings at Amazon in a honey oak finish to match my kitchen for use with a handtowel/dishtowel. Both are price similarly. I chose this one mostly because per the product description the other one was too large to fit in the space I had. The quality of materials and finish are only okay, certainly not fine furniture but then it's not priced like it. The ring itself has a huge knot on one side. Fortunately I was able to use the other side of the ring which is unblemished. Sealed in a clamshell wrap the ring arrived well protected. Two wood screws are included along with two wallboard anchors, and the aforementioned matching wooden plugs. However the plugs are a loose fit so I used wood glue to hold them in. The honey oak matches my wood cabinetry well enough and the fact that it is wood helps it hold the towel from slipping off the ring and falling like with metal rings. Another benefit of being wood is that it does not squeak and rattle like a metal ring. I put a small felt pad on the cabinet at the bottom of the ring to absorb the sound of an empty ring falling.

Love these towel rings
Used to have these in my previous home, and they were generally available then. When I bought my new home, wanted to install them as well, but were really hard to find. Found them on Amazon, and am very happy!
