Question 3

Does this game play on the switch lite?

Accepted Answer

It does yes :)

Question 4

In regards to some mentioning the game graphics being lesser quality than the other platforms versions, is this still the case playing through tv?

Accepted Answer

If you want to know more on how the game has been reduced. Watch the digital foundry video on YouTube.

Docked mode:
Typical resolution is between 540p to 720p, although the upper target is fairly uncommon.

Portable mode:
Resolution - 540p and lower.
I think the lower bounds were in the 400p range.

Textures have been reworked for switch in places especially distant ones, swapping in baked environmental shading in place of dynamic shading as seen on ps4 - a change which still looks artistically very good.
Foliage has been culled although they have since added a feature to increase draw distance

Temporal anti aliasing - this adds a vaseline smear to the screen and does not work well at all thanks to the low resolutions. I'd recommend switching this off for both docked and portable play and switching up sharpness to medium preset. Sure it looks raw, but the increase in clarity is percievably a 50% boost in res.

Framrate is acceptable - places like novigrad which are hotpots for framrate drops on the ps4 version dip even lower on switch. Novigrad is pretty much a consistent 22 to 25 fps on switch. However... No changes have been made to any NPC number which is simply a good trade off.

You will be happy to know that it has never dipped below 20fps in my game.
