My daughter had her ears pierced and had waited patiently for them to heal but was getting annoyed at not being able to change them. 8 weeks passed and not convinced they had fully healed we purchased these so she could at least change them and allow them to heal.These are thicker with a sharp edge, the exact type they use in a piercing gun so keeps the hole open.Only criticism is that I couldn't see what type we would recieve clearly on the description. I spent a while looking on Amazon trying to decide which ones to buy. I finally decided on these as they were 24 carat gold plated and they looked like a good selection of different styles. They arrived the next day and seem good quality, each pair individually wrapped in a sterile pack. There are 12 different colours and styles, some i'll probably wear more than others, but all nice.
