Accurate, Easy-to-Use UTI Strips for Quick Peace of Mind
Accurate, Easy-to-Use UTI Strips for Quick Peace of Mind The life2O 4-in-1 UTI Test Strips are a practical and reassuring tool for anyone who wants to monitor urinary health from home. They’re simple to use—dip the strip in urine, wait about a minute, and compare the color changes to the chart on the bottle. The results are quick, easy to read, and generally line up well with what you’d expect based on symptoms or a doctor’s test. I especially like that this test measures four key markers (leukocytes, nitrites, pH, and protein), giving a fuller picture than the cheaper 2-panel strips. The protein result helps gauge infection severity, which can be helpful when deciding whether to call your doctor or continue antibiotics. The instructions are straightforward, and the color chart is clear enough for accurate interpretation if you’re in decent lighting. The bottle comes sealed and holds 50 strips—more than enough for routine checks or to monitor progress during treatment. The only downside is the shelf life: once opened, the strips stay accurate for about 3 months, so it’s best for households that might use them regularly rather than occasionally. Bottom line: a reliable, easy-to-use, and well-designed UTI test kit that offers real peace of mind for at-home monitoring—especially useful for frequent UTI sufferers or post-treatment reassurance.

Opened shelf life 3 months
When I bought this the first time, I accidentally left it open after using it (it was about a week after purchase) so all the test strips were showing errors so I had to buy the second bottle and I liked it while using it. I had a recurrent UTI so it was helpful for awhile and now that I'm trying to reuse it again after 3 months, I found out the test strips looked weird again even though they've been sealed well... Then I saw on the bottle that after it's opened, it's only good for 3 months 😔 I wonder why they don't just sell them individually packaged so that unused ones can stay unopened and have the normal 2 year shelf life. I have wasted more than half of the bottle! Won't purchase again and now that I've learned my lesson, I just bought one that comes individually sealed.

First-rate teststrips for reliable home use
Now that I'm in my 70's, I'm learning first-hand that older women are at increased risk for UTI's. Despite being very careful, I recently developed an infection and began antibiotics. I really wanted the ability to check my urine myself and found that these teststrips were available. The day after I completed antibiotics, I was able to verify that my infection had fully cleared (grateful!). The teststrips are very easy to use and interpret, though I peed into a cup and dipped the strip instead of trying to hold it in my stream. I had the results in 60 seconds. As a retired family doc, I can confirm that the teststrip uses the same reliable technology as the strips I used in practice. Highly recommended!

Good Product, but be aware: They have a short shelf life
Good product. Test strips appear to be reasonably accurate. However, they have a 90-day (3 Month) shelf life after opening the bottle. This is stated on the box but not the bottle. After those 90 days (give or take) the results will not be correct. In the photo that I have attached, the top 3 strips are from a brand-new bottle, and the lower 3 test strips are from a bottle I had opened well over 6 months prior. There are 50 test strips in the bottle. So, if you test 4 times a week for 3 months, this should be a good purchase. If you do not test this often, you will probably be wasting a lot of strips.

Buy these if you get UTIs
After using the Azo strips that came in a pack of three, I realized I wanted to double check the results with strips that weren't as expensive. This offers a whole tub of strips, so you can check the results as frequently as needed! The strips provided results accurate to what I was feeling (the symptoms weren't just in my head), and I highly recommend these for anyone that needs to stay alert of potential UTIs. Very easy to use!

Inaccurate, short shelf life
First red flag here should have been that the instructions in the product's own ad don't match the picture of the product in the ad. But, I figured it's a pretty basic test, so I went for it anyways. First off, the package came in dire condition, but at least the seal was intact. Shipping box was, too, so not sure what went down. Next thing I notice, not mentioned in the listing, is the bottle says they go bad THREE MONTHS after opening. There's 50 of them... What a waste. So, on to using them! First, the pad that's listed "UTI severity" is for blood, and was listed as such on my tests. A good test to have, maybe, but not really a good indication of "severity"... maybe that's why they changed it, I hope. Anyways, the guide says leukocytes alone can be an indication of a positive even if nitrates are negative. And, yes! That can be true in the case of more rare bacteria. However, the false positive rate on this part of the test is HIGH. Now, this can seemingly be true of any of these kinds of tests, but typically is limited to if you read the test too late, as they always turn purple over time. These tests are meant to be read in 60 seconds, which is short, but they degraded into a false positive before that, somehow. I fear there's going to be a lot of unnecessary doctor bills when people use these. So, I bought these mostly for the pH part, as I was to monitor that due to a medication and thought knowing if I had a UTI would be a nice bonus. And... I immediately became suspicious that the pH color stayed the same, indicating a much lower number than my target. And no color change. I decided to try these out on other things, and found NOTHING made the color change, including neutral water samples and very alkaline soaps. So... 10 strips at least are just duds? pH tests aren't complicated, so this is pretty egregious, and even if it's not the main function of the test, makes me mistrust their accuracy on anything. On that note, I decided to play with the blood test and four new strips in, you guessed it, it couldn't detect it. Not a drop or two in water or urine, not even a fairly large quantity per volume. So... are these tests just bogus? Maybe, or maybe I got a bad batch. Either way, I don't recommend them as the quality, accuracy of advertising, and short exp date are all big red flags.
