Needed a cord to connect an old Western Digital hard drive and found this unit. Worked as expected.

I used this to power up my external hard drive. I wire is durable. I had no issues.

Very good quality and long enough. The original one with my passport was very short.

I bought this to replace my worn-out original cables. It's working fine, but your criteria for review (value for money, durability, sturdiness) are rather inappropriate to gauge the quality of this product at this early stage. I cannot tell if it's durable or sturdy enough within a few weeks of use. Nonetheless, I'm giving this item 4 stars, hoping it will last efficiently long.

Works perfectly.

The cable did not work at all with the 250GB Seagate external HDD. Whenever I connected the USB to the PC, it made a wierd sound the first and the second time it didn't make that sound but then the PC was never able to access the HDD. I believe the cable was faulty as my HDD worked perfectly with another cable that I got.

Bought for my old WD external hard drive. Plugged in, heard beeping sound from computer so I thought it was working. However, never connected. I used cable from another hard drive I have and worked fine. So problem is not the hard drive but the cable. I just wanted each hard drive to have their own cable and bought this one. Too bad it doesn’t work.
