Consider a new printer instead might be a good idea
I didn't think this was as straightforward to install as I thought it ought to be. Depending upon how much your printer costs you might consider just replacing the printer. After I got this installed, my error hasn't really cleared, but my Brother laser is starting to get on in years now too.

A perfect fit for Brother MFC-9130CW
This was very easy to install. Instructions are mostly pictorial but it's quite clear what to do. Fits perfectly, and the printer automatically stopped having the 'box full' (or whatever it was) warning.

Step 4 of installation instructions said to remove orange packing material and discard it. There was no orange packing material (plastic piece) on the waste toner box. I installed the waste toner box in the printer and the touch screen read replace the waste toner box. I cleared the screen took it out and repeated the process about 3 more times but kept getting the same message on touch screen to replace WT Box. I believe it is defected. The orange plastic protective piece that are usually on the toner for the printer was missing on the WT Box, may have been used. May have gotten mix in accidently.

Not happy I have to open the new waste toner box and manually reset
Of course, once my Brother hl-2170cdw started to display the Waste Toner Box nearly full warning, I ordered the replacement. That was received in February. Jump ahead to July (way past the return window), and the printer tells me I gotta replace the WT Box before it will print anything else. Follow the instructions to replace, pretty straightforward. Error to replace the WT Box remains. Pull everything out and back in to double check, still an error. I search the Internet and find how to reset a cam and how to insure a circuit is closed on the WT Box and now it works. Not Amazon's fault, but I'm still perturbed I have to disassemble the WT Box and fix these things Brother didn't get right in the first place.
