Jesus in Kashmir: The Lost Tomb

It would be misleading to say that Jesus in Kashmir, the Lost Tomb is merely a book I recommend, because it is a reference library of ten books. Within Olsson's gift of research you will find the following resources: Genealogy, history, anthropology, linguistics, mythology. religion, Science, an action adventure, and a detective story. But the travelogue resource book is worth the price alone. The author devoted well over a decade of her life to the 'God project', a mission to discover, uncover, and advocate for the DNA of the most religious icons in history. She wasn't just a researcher, and certainly not a new age groupie with gods and goddesses to idolize. In fact Olsson came in contact with perceived enemies of our age and became a peaceful ambassador of the west, a female ambassador to those who devalue females in their culture. As you peel the layers off this literary onion you will see that Olsson is a female 'Indiana Jones' risking life and limb to bring back the treasures of antiquity, whatever they might prove to be. Instead of the Indiana Jones whip for protection against armed men and cultural prejudice, the author had only her wits to survive her mission. Olsson's search led her to countries of war where she faced daily danger and uncertainty to find lost tombs, to discover information lost in time, lost in other cultures, lost to mankind. It is written that the prophet Jesus said, 'Where the mind is, there is the treasure'. This author has done the hard physical and mental work, has taken the fearful risks, has brought back the treasure. It is up to the reader to open the box,explore the contents, and guard the treasure within.

Initially I was looking at other books to do with Mary Magdalene, but they all seemed too whimsical and something just told me not to waste my money - I stumbled across Jesus In Kashmir book:The Lost Tomb, having never heard of this title or Author before, I did some research into the book and decided it was really worth buying. I AM SO GLAD I DID! This book was very unexpected, and not predictable like so many other books, it brings up fascinating subjects, that if you are a seeker of truth this is a great book for you, it will get you to think, and shows the experience and vast knowledge of the Author. I have myself traveled parts of the Middle East, it brings back all those magical memories or the Real people who live there, the real history that has long been forgotten. This is not one of those wifty wafty books that are all too much in abundance when it comes to subjects regarding Jesus, Mary, or Mary Mag / I am so glad my intuition guided me to this incredible read, I recommend it so highly.

I found this book to be fascinating and informative and very well researched. Although it is obviously the author's opinion, she makes a very solid argument for the presence of Jesus in Kashmir and challenges the popular opinion of the outcome of His crucifiction. It is far from being just the the story of Jesus though, as she dilengently traces the connection of many other historic Jews, including Moses, Solomon and Abraham to this ancient section of India. In addition, she lays the ground work for the theory that Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism and Christianity all have roots in this area and were influenced by (dare we say related to) each other. Ms.Olsson's mission appears to be to draw attention to this grossly neglected part of the ancient world and it's priceless artifacts before their history and their message is lost forever in the destruction that seems to be the mandate of certain Muslim sects that dominate the area. Her first hand accounts of her extensive travel in this region and her use of current and archival photos and maps made this a riveting and provocative read. I highly recommend it.

I stumbled upon “ Jesus in Kasmir “ by accident. I was looking to see if the book “ Jesus Lived in India “, by Holger Kersten, was available in a kindle format. So when I did my search, to my surprise, Suzanne’s great book appeared instead. I read some of the other reviews on the book and I thought I would peruse the text. I found it to be an excellent read and a universe of wealth. Her book is an incredible journey. Years of dedication went into this research to bring forth this textbook of enlightenment. During my life I have read most every religion. Truth has always been my passion. In this case, Suzanne is our “ Indiana Jones “ as she leads us along the path of her life’s travels and devotion to unravel great mysteries of the past to the present. She combines historical research with personal experiences while living in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan during several wars and conflicts. I am very thankful a wonderful woman such as Suzanne Olsson has dedicated her life to take this journey for us. We can merely sit safely in our easy chair and enjoy this incredible odyssey.

My previous review was not only unkind and boorish, but implacable as well. Although this book was originally not my cup of tea, I shoudn't have trounced on someone else's hard work. My sincere apologies. IMPORTANT UPDATE! This book has certain editorial problems with respect to presentation, but - NOT WITH CONTENT!! This cannot be overemphasized! Get past it and you will be rewarded with some exquisite, compelling evidence that not only support the claims of this book, but that introduce the reader to some jaw dropping historical specifics that have wide ranging sociological, archeological, religious and anthropological affects. Sometimes the truth, or even a hint of the truth, can be, well let's just say a bit discombobulating. As Jesus is reported to have said in the Book of Thomas (I think) {paraphrasing} "There is much more I have to teach, but ye cannot bear it now." With just a bit of tweaking and refinement this book is a 5 star grand slam. 4 stars from me, but the server will not allow me to change the star meter.....

Clearly well researched. A little hard to follow at first . The information is new and related much to an area of the world we in the Us know little about and this adds to the problem. However, this is its strong point: it is new, it does open your eyes to new possibilities about how the world has actually evolved and presents through DNA studies a scientific basis for her work. Very informative! Very real!

Having assisted Suzanne Olsson with her first edition of this fine work, back in 2002, each time I take stock of a revised edition, I find that I learn something new. As a stickler for looking into source notes, wanting to see where they take me, with this updated 2016 revision, I have been introduced to new authors, new terms, new possibilities. Ms. Olsson is one who writes from both experience as well as a vast knowledge base, but, so too, does she write from the heart. If you are truly open to new theories, new hypotheses, new plausibilities, all in the name of possibility, then I strongly advise you to read this magnificent work. I bought this book after hearing Suzanne speak, on a Government of India Youtube video covering the same subject. However, the video presents the info in an easy to understand manner; her book does not. I was really looking forward to a good read on this fascinating subject, but while reading her book, I could only think that Suzanne needs a good editor to make her story more understandable. I felt totally confused while reading this book! It's like a jigsaw puzzle with many pieces scattered all over the place. There are so many different cultures mentioned here, and names that cross over with different spellings, that it leaves the reader feeling overwhelmed and more confused than ever. I would suggest some sort of a family tree at the beginning of the book that the chapters could follow. I know how hard it is to get a self-published book correct, as I wrote Still Singing, Somehow many times over, until I finally got it right. I wish Suzanne nothing but luck in re-editing her valuable book, so that it will be easier to really understand and reach a much broader audience.
