Review: Best way to make French coffee! - This is the best way to make French coffee. The traditional way is to put coffee ground into a special filter, then pour in hot water and let coffee drip down to a cup below. Well, I did that for most of my life. Then I switched to a coffee press. It is better, but not quite the taste I was looking for. So I looked for this on desertcart and found this amazing espresso maker! I used to have this same thing to use when I went camping and still remember how the coffee tasted. Believe me, try it and you never go back to anything you used before. This espresso maker is simple to operate. Put coffee ground in the filter, fill the botton reservoir with water, screw the top part on and put on the stove. After 3, 4 minutes, water start boiling and thick, dark coffee start flowing to the top cup. Wait a few seconds, then you have a hot, rich and thick cup of out of this world coffee.
Review: Love it! - This is a nice poor man's espresso maker. As most have noted you aren't going to get that nice creamy/oily layer you get with a real steam espresso maker but you also won't be dropping a thousand bucks on this either - so there's that. I use this to make cappuccinos, macchiato, and cafe mochas on the weekends and it makes for a nice little treat. The 6 cup size makes enough for two cappuccinos or 3-4 espresso shots. I bought two of these, one I use on my electric stove and the other I take camping with me. The stovetop one is in perfect condition after numerous uses, the campfire one has some warping on the handle but it is functionally intact. Bottom line, this is a great investment for coffee lovers at a very reasonable cost.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ weird smell after using (Normal for this type of Coffee Pot regardless of metal!!)
*by G***Y on June 2, 2015*

This coffee maker is not quite an espresso maker, but it does make a very good coffee if you want to make a strong late or cafe con leche. The only issue that made me give it an excellent rating is the strange smell that comes off of the boiler compartment after use. It might just be that some coffee drips back down and burns. (EDIT: I found that when using another coffee pot that functions in an identical fashion, that there is the same smell after using it, and so I'm guessing that it is in fact just back flow from the brewing process that causes the smell) If you do buy this unit or one like it, make sure to have your coffee beans ground finely, tamped down tightly, and do not use too high of heat or you will burn your coffee beyond recognition. I am going to look for one that is made of stainless steel to see if it makes a difference.
