Does anyone know for sure?** A: The fins are wood. I'm not sure if they are balsa or some other type of wood. They have to be sanded a little bit(a very little) to reduce drag. **Q: what kind of glue should be used and what kind of starters?** A: We use super glue gel. We've tried different glues and this seems to work best with our kids. It sets really fast. We start with the A8-3 engines and use the igniters that are included.
