Sylvania Incandescent R20 Flood Light Bulbs, 45W, 230 Lumens, 2850K, Warm White, Value Pack - 6 Pack (15676)

Delivered and received as expected. Have just installed some of them. Hopefully will have decent lifespan and will be worth the money. Understandably not as bright white as LED’s.

They work perfect, nice soft light, warm, no flickering. Nice color and just the right size. Better price than the store and quality.

The product is good, but one out of each box was broken. I did not want to return the whole order so I am just dealing with this.

Make sure you review the size of the bulbs. The one I received were a 2" face size - will work for me.

The photos in the description on Amazon show a bulb with a silver reflective base, but what I received was a bulb with a white painted base. The top part of the bulb was also more white and coated and does not allow for much light to come through. I was trying to find a comparable replacement for a Philips DuraMax 45w 385 lumens indoor spot light bulb, which cannot be found anymore unless you do a lot of scrounging around, or pay an arm and a leg for the bulbs second hand. This SYLVANIA Incandescent Flood Light Bulb didn't come close. Also, be aware that the lumens, which is the brightness of the light emitted, are all different numbers depending on where you look. The photo on the description says 295 lumens, in the written description under "About This Item" it says 230 lumens, on the front of the box I received it says 230 lumens, on the side of the box it says 180 lumens. I can honestly say that when I tried the bulb out in our spot light it was more like the 180 lumens....very dim and more like a night light. I guess the search continues...... Photos included with this review show the SYLVANIA bulb on the left and the PHILIPS Duramax on the right. Two very different bulbs. Also included photos of the lumens on the box I received.

I guess as bulbs go these are probably a 3.5 stars. The issue I have is ... I needed to replace some incandescent floods for my canned lights that were 320 lumens and were impossible to find. I bought these because they said 295 lumens amd were incandescent floods and the correct size ... but in reality they are ONLY 230 LUMENS and not as advertised. I will keep them and arrange my bulbs as not to notice these thst are less bright than what I needed ... otherwise everything was acceptable.

Sylvania is the must have flood lights to have stocked. Bright bulb quality provides the brightness & look; functionality at a price point we can manage.

That’s exactly what I needed. I hate the LED’s. They say the led will last tens of thousands of hours but their drive’s will NOT. The “savings” are NOT there , specially when you have to replace them (led’s) more often than the regular bulbs. I had a very bad experience with the LED’s. Beside , they (LED’s) are not working pretty well outside in a -20 to -30C, for a long time.

Works fine, except one bulb that was broken due to no padding in the outer shipping box.

A versatile light bulb that fits a ceiling fan in my kitchen from the mid-70s and a basement track light in my mother's home from the early- 00s. Excellent value for money, you won't find a better price at any retail store!
