What is the face value of this coin?

Technically, the "face value" is zero, since it's official coinage of a now defunct government. Most of its value is as a collectible artifact. It does have inherent monetary value due to its silver content, which is likely the intent of your question. Off the top of my head . . . The 2 RM coin is .625 silver, and has a net actual silver weight of about .18 oz Troy. So at today's suppressed silver price, that content would be worth around $2.75 USD. And of course the answer is further complicated factoring in that certain people increasingly have higher regard for the silver than for the paper backed by the U.S. Government. Not a short, but I hope a complete, answer.

This coin is dirty. Can I clean it with a silver cleaner or should I use something else?

It’s a moral quandary to purchase in the first place, but if you do, Neverdull metal cleaner will work, but only if you want to keep it. Resale of cleaned coins won’t go well. Also, silver bullets are for the wolf, not the bat. Good luck.

Real piece of bad history. Certificate of authenticity with coin. Good shape for 1937. Proof of warning signs even in 1937. Great value for an old coin. Scary how similar the US and German eagles are. Never forget.

Wild how much their eagle is positioned and represented the same as ours. I suppose the Eagle isn’t the symbol that conveys their ideology and doesn’t deserve the same reflection. It definitely feels odd though

A piece of (dark) History

I read the negative reviews and came close to not ordering this coin......However I pulled the trigger and have to say I'm very happy I did. Mine is in great shape.....however it doesn't seem to be silver.....more like nickel or a mixture of the two. The coin to me is a piece of history...even though it is a dark history. If you are buying this coin for the silver value then this isn't for you. It's history!
