Excellent customer service and what appears to be a great product
I ordered two batteries for a Canon S100. One arrived in good condition, one defective and was not recognized by the Canon charger. But even before they arrived, STK reached out with an email letting me know how to handle any issues. And when I communicated the issue, they responded extremely quickly and shipped two replacements, both of which appear to work perfectly. Then they followed up with a personal email to make sure I was satisfied. I could not be more impressed with their customer service. As for the batteries, they are rated to power the camera longer than the original Canon ones. I haven't done any tests to confirm that, but as best I can tell they work great and are at least as effective as the original Canon batteries, at a significantly lower price. Recommended.

Fantastic customer support and follow up. Batteries work great.
It's difficult reviewing a battery recently purchased, as the real quality shows up over time. However I'm going ahead and posting this thanks to the excellent customer support. First of all the batteries received work great. I haven't done rigorous testing here, but from daily usage the batteries I received from SterlingTEK perform as well as the original Canon battery, and at a fraction of the price. The five-stars are for this though: these come with a 1 year warranty and at this point I have no doubt these folks stand behind their product. They immediately followed up with an e-mail saying contact them with any issues. I didn't have any issues with the batteries; however my camera failed (no fault of SterlingTEK) and I the manufacturer sent as replacement a newer model camera that took a slightly different battery. Upon my inquiry if I could exchange my barely-used batteries for the correct size, SterlingTEK promptly followed up sending correct batteries to fit my new camera and even threw in a charger. This kind of above-and-beyond service is increasingly rare these days, and earns from me a 5-star review.

Nearly as good as OEM
I also purchased the Wasabi 2-pack with charger version as well as an S100. Once the S100 arrived, I charged the Wasabi, STK and OEM in the OEM charger, which seems to charge to the 4.2V maximum. I did not time how long that took or remove them as soon as the light turned green but also did not let them sit in the charger for more than an hour extra. Then I shot continuous video until each died, deleting the files after each one. The Wasabi recorded 60 minutes (I only tested one of the pair), the STK 78 minutes and the OEM 84 minutes. Based on other reviews I've read, I should also note the Wasabi was the lightest battery at 0.66 oz, STK was 0.72 oz and the OEM 0.79 oz. so that is somewhat an indicator of the performance you could expect from a cell. I will hopefully remember to update this review by this summer and alter the rating if needed. As of this "fresh from the box" test, I'd definitely purchase more STK even though you could get two Wasabi for nearly the same price. I don't want to have to carry a large number of spares into the backcountry with me (or wait longer to recharge so many for the next leg of my trips). Hopefully the long-term performance matches the OEM. UPDATE 8/31/14: I finally redid a test. I should note that after last summer I left most of them sit in a discharged state for several months (yes, I know you should charge them before storage) and one of the Wasabi would not charge in either charger after that. I should also note that this time I was running CHDK firmware hack and IS was on (though the camera was not moving). I also was taking video in 1280x720 (I believe it must have been low res before as I don't recall having to restart so often once the 4 GB file limit is reached.) Anyway, I must say I was quite surprised by the results. The remaining Wasabi recorded 54 minutes, which was better than my perception of its current ability, one STK recorded 71 minutes and the other did 78 minutes. The OEM did 84 (this one was also not freshly charged - it had been sitting for several weeks!). I really would have expected after 2 years of usage for the capacity to have dropped noticeably, but it seems at least the STK and OEM are performing near as well as their first charge. I've read it takes a few charges to reach full potential of a Li-ion battery, but I can't imagine increasing that much. I'm not a heavy user except during my trips but these were great followup results as far as I'm concerned.

Equivalent to OEM battery
Excellent battery. I bought four of them before going on a remote wilderness river trip for 3 weeks with no power sources. I charged them all up prior to the trip and I got through the 3 weeks using only 3 of the batteries. They were for a canon powershot SX230HS camera. It was way cheaper and lighter to buy multiple batteries than an expensive solar charging system. BTW prior to going on the river I did a 3 week discharge test where I charged the batteries and compared the unloaded discharge rate to my OEM canon battery. All batteries were able to be charged within .01V of the OEM battery and maintained their charge over the 3 weeks within .02V. I totally recommend.

Lasted almost 3 years of consistent usage
Purchased June of 2012, and finally died March of 2015. Almost 3 years of consistent usage approx every other weekend. Since getting both at nearly the same time, I alternated between this and the OEM with no noticeable difference in performance. Please mind that no scientific measurements were performed to verify this. Although I'll have to give credit to the OEM battery which is still faithfully chugging along. Not bad, however, for a 3rd party battery that cost less than half of its OEM counterpart in 2012. It appears the price has dropped since then, now making it around 3 times less expensive than OEM. Planning to order another to replace the dead one. If it lives as long as the last one, I'll probably be on my next camera which will likely require a different battery type anyway. As a final note - notice that the pics show only one side of the battery; probably because it would show a misspelled a word (at least on the one I have). LOL. Still a good buy!

Good as "factory" battery in Canon S100
UPDATE to review below, March 15, 2012...now that the factory battery and the STK battery have been charged/discharged a few more times each, I ran a test. Charged each one fully, put it in the Canon S100 camera, took one photo, then left the LCD/photo display "on" til the battery died (you can set this in the camera controls). The LCD brightness was at factory default (mid-brightness). Canon battery lasted 3 hours 40 min. and the STK lasted 3 hours 50 min. Not a scientific test but seems a fair comparison. Despite the higher Mah rating, my STK did not last much longer, but I'm still happy with it for the much lower price than the factory battery, and have ordered another one. (End update). I've had a Canon S100 for a few weeks now, and bought one of these batteries as a backup at same time I purchased the camera. I've run them through several charge/discharge cycles in normal use by now. In terms of how long they last, I can't see any noticeable difference between this battery and the Canon-brand battery (if this battery really delivers 1400mah vs. the Canon's stated 1120mah, it is not obvious in use.) This echoes my experience buying off-brand batteries for Nikon, Panasonic and Pentax cameras over the past few years...I've never had a bad experience though I know others have sometimes reported issues. There may be some advantage to not buying the absolute cheapest version of an off-brand battery, and looking at the reviews of other genuine users is a good idea, but saving $20. or more off the cost of the factory battery is worth some reliability risk to me. If I encounter problems later with this STK battery I will report again.

works well off a fresh charge - but does not hold charge very long
I've cycled this battery through about 5 times, using it alongside my canon oem battery. They last about the same in mixed use (pictures, pictures with flash, or video). My big problem with this battery is it's shelf life. My canon oem battery, and other lithiums i own, will all last months off the charger.. and be ready when i need them. This battery lasts about 2-3 weeks before needing to be charged again. I might have just gotten a dud, who knows. I'll keep it as a backup, and have already purchased other generics, so we'll see how they pan out. UPDATE* - so after 2 years, this thing won't hold a charge at all anymore. I won't downgrade my vote because - for the price it worked decently enough and got me about 18 months of casual usage... had retention issues from the start, but i could have bought 3 of these for the price of one canon OEM. With that said - buy the canon OEM battery. I wound up doing just that shortly after this purchase, and there's no comparison - the canon still works flawlessly.

BETTER than my factory batteries, I'm back now to buy more
I own 2 factory batteries, one of these batteries, and a dozen cheap chinese "spares". I use these in the Canon S100, and as any owner of this serries camera knows, the CMOS sensor in the camera sucks batteries dry in no time. Long and short of it, after 1 year of use, this battery now consistently outlasts the factory batteries, which are now starting to perform more like the chinese ones. And the old chinese ones? can't even last long enough to shoot a 2 minute video now! But this battery still works nearly as good as the first day. I'm back to buy a couple more of these batteries. VERY happy customer here, I'll never buy a factory cannon battery again as long as this vender is offering a battery for my camera model.
